  1. The gun is a Savage Model 110. So for example, if the front is higher than the back, would this cause that kind or drop? Or would it cause it to hit really high?
  2. I went out this morning to sight in a new gun and I got a problem. For some reason it shoots 2 ft low (yes thats feet!!) at 50 yds. I have the scope adjusted to as high as it goes. So my question is it the scope? The gun? I'm tending to think its the scope as its just a cheap tasco. I wasn't planning on sighting it in until spring when I can afford a good scope but due to circumstances I need it for this coming monday. The first shot I took hit 15 ft in front of the target. I couldn't believe it!! Also could it be the mounts? P.S. All screws are tight on the scope/mount.
  3. From Wally World its $21 or $22 a box.
  4. Follow this advice!!! I agree 100%!! Borrow only what you need!!! If you are looking to take a school loan and then use that money for a 4 wheel drive truck, I'll tell you right now its not necessary. Figure on 3 maybe 4 decent snowfalls throughout winter. If I'm way off base on what I think you want to use that student loan for, then I apologize. What school are you planning on attending?
  5. Would someone mind explaining why you can't shoot them in autoloaders? Just curious...
  6. I've heard good things about the XP3's. I'll be giving them a try also this year. Where did you buy yours from? The only place I've seen them thus far is Gander Mountain at $40 per box.

    My how time flies....
  8. They may be here but there isn't a wild breeding population. The ones seen are escaped pets....
  9. Just curious. Mine jammed like crazy for the 1st 300 shots or so but now it does it every 100 or so if that. Where did you get this aftermarket hammer?
  10. Bring on the cold weather!!
  11. You type pretty good using your left hand... Hope it heals quick for ya...
  12. Nice!! How do you like your Rem. 597? Any problems with jamming?
  13. I'll be honest with you, that price sounds like a good deal to me. Be glad you got good friends who are willing to help you out. Imagine the price that it would be if you had to bring a company in and do it....
  14. I do believe that the starter in my truck is going bad. Twice since Sunday it hasn't started and I've been left stranded, Fortunately since its a manual, with a little help getting me moving I can start it. So my question is how hard is it to replace the starter? BTW I have a 1998 Chevy S-10 2.2L. Thanks!
  15. Heres the newest addition to the gun safe. Picked her up for $250. Its a Savage 110 in 7mm Rem Mag. As you can see in the picture it came with a Limbsaver Deresonator and I'll probably end up just leaving it on there because I've heard good things about... Havn't had a chance to shoot it yet, still looking for a decent scope in my price range...
  16. Rumor has it, since she had a fall out with her manager, she is going to give country music a try...
  17. At work we use a spray on product called Deer Buster and it seems to work very well. It is a litte pricey though, $170 for a gallon of the concentrate but that will make roughly 8 gallons so its about $20 per gallon.

    Baby Coon...

Thats pretty cool!! I'd try berries and maybe a few other fruits and also some foods that are sweet...
  19. Remember, before you buy, you get what you pay for!! Personally, I wouldn't buy the 710. Around here the price difference between the 710 and 700 is very little so I'd go with the 700 for sure. If you keep your eyes out you can find used Savage 110's for fairly cheap. I've picked up 2 of them in less than a year and paid less than $250 each after all was said and done. You just got to watch what you buy...

    Eh 7/10, least I ain't last...
  21. Well hotdog, now what do I get?
  22. Another attempt, Virginia Copper Leaf. I'm kinda doubtful its it though...
  23. Yep, your right, not the same plant. Its not a boxelder either as they don't grow any farther north than New York along the east coast according to all the native range maps I've seen.
  24. Send some this way. We are behind for the year...
