Bayer makes a product that has worked well for me in the past. Its called Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate and its quite simple to use. All you do is mix it with water and pour it around the trip line. The plant then takes it up and your "bug" free for 12 months. On the downside, not sure of your area, the beetles will only be out for a few weeks more at most. But you can always be ready for next year.

Ive used slices of apple in the past. Just yesterday I cut the head off a sunflower, that had flowered and gone to seed, and put that in the back of the cage and had him in 24 hours. Apples would be my first choice though as they would seem to have more "smell" to them and would thus attract them from a farther distance.

Honestly, while the best time to plant may be in the fall, that may be impractical. If you have the time now, do it now. Just water well twice a week and you will be fine.

So I'm attempting to put my cobra sight on my new Diamond Justice and the screws won't thread. So I try 2 different sights I have, a Trophy Ridge Matrix and a Black Gold, and neither will thread. All screws are the ones that came with the sights. The screws will start to thread but after a turn they won't any further. I'm afraid to force them because I don't want to strip them out. Any suggestions??
