Something I've noticed about my .22 is that its particular about shooting round nose bullets. I've tried many different brands of ammo and for some reason hollow points are much more accurate than round nose. Depends on your gun. Just something I thought I'd throw out there....

What gets me is that I know the technology is there for a fuel efficient engine. Car company's boast about there cars getting 30 MPG, big deal!! Come up with a car that gets 80 MPG or better!! I guarantee the technology is there. We can put a man on the moon, can shoot nuclear missiles with pin point accuracy but no car that gets good gas mileage?? Are companies like Ford, Chevy and Toyota in cahoots with the oil companies.....maybe. JMO

Word of mouth is your best bet. As others have said flyers just aren't effective. I've heard that your lucky to get a 1% response with flyers, thats just getting a call, not the job. But flyers are an easy and relatively cheap way to just get your name out there. So in reality thats probably going to get you the best response... BTW- where did your post about your churches hunters dinner go? I made a post to it earlier and now I can't find it???

If you were coming to a "Sportsmans Extrvaganza"?
007hunter replied to preacherman's topic in Lounge
How about some different foods? Instead of going with chicken and fish why don't you go with game meat? This is what my church has been doing the past several years and its always really good. Every year they have deer, pheasant, bear, elk, rabbit, and a couple different kinds of fish, among other things. Also, this is all donated by people of the congregation so it would cut costs but would require more time. Just a suggestion. -
Had buffalo burgers awhile back and they were excellent. How many pounds does a half buffalo get you?

This has probably been posted before but its still funny... ------------------------- An 8 pointer, 4 pointer and a button buck are standing by a field browsing on acorns. The 8 pointer says, 'I'm happy with my 10 does, we're really getting along.' The 4 pointer says, 'I'm happy as heck with my 5, they really take care of me!' The Button buck says, 'My two are all right, better than nothing I guess.' Then all of a sudden a GIANT 10 pointer walks out into the field. The three bucks had never seen anything like him before, they were in awe. The big buck made a huge scrape and peed in it, rubbed a tree the size of a telephone pole and snapped it off at the ground! The three bucks looked on in amazement. The 8 pointer says, 'I could probably get by with 4 does...........Who really needs 10 anyway?' The 4 pointer says, 'You know............. come to think of it, I only really use one or two of mine!' The button buck was silent, the other two bucks look over to him in confusion. Suddenly the yearling runs out into the middle of the field! He rips and tears up some grass........ peed all over the place, snorts & wheezes, rubs his head raw on a tree and chews a lickin branch clean off! Then he runs back over to his to buddies. His friends immediately ask him, 'What the world are you doing!?' 'I'm just makin' sure that big son of a gun knows I'm a buck!' Was there for New Years back in 06/07 to watch the ball drop. A very good time and would recommend it to everyone. The diversity of people around us was incredible. There were people from all around the world! I wouldn't want to live in the city but I don't mind visiting for short periods...

Anderson, Winslow go to Pro Bowl as Brady, Moss, Gates opt out Tom Brady and Randy Moss pulled out of the Pro Bowl on Monday, a day after the New England Patriots were beaten in the Super Bowl. After throwing a league-record 50 touchdown passes during the season, Brady was battered by the New York Giants during their 17-14 win Sunday. He has been bothered by a tender ankle and was photographed in New York wearing a protective boot two weeks prior to the Super Bowl. Brady, who first injured his ankle against San Diego in the AFC Championship Game, was sacked five times by the Giants. He will be replaced by Cleveland Browns quarterback Derek Anderson. Moss, who caught a record 23 TD passes from Brady during the season, had five receptions for 62 yards and a TD in the Super Bowl. He will be replaced by disgruntled Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chad Johnson. The Patriots said Brady and Moss each opted out because of ankle injuries. San Diego tight end Antonio Gates and defensive tackle Jamal Williams also decided to skip the All-Star game on Feb. 10 in Honolulu. Browns tight end Kellen Winslow will go in place of Gates, bringing the number of Browns players in the Pro Bowl to six, the club's most since sending six in 1994. Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Casey Hampton takes Williams' spot on the AFC roster, his third-consecutive trip to Hawaii and fourth overall. Anderson, who began the season as Charlie Frye's backup, threw for 3,787 yards and 29 touchdowns while going 10-5 as a starter. Cleveland was edged out of a playoff spot because of a tiebreaker. Despite playing on bad knees and with a separated shoulder, Winslow led the Browns with 82 receptions and had 1,106 receiving yards, the most by a Cleveland tight end. He'll undergo another surgery -- his fourth since 2004 -- on his right knee after the Pro Bowl. Winslow had postponed the operation in anticipation of replacing Gates, who sustained a toe injury during the playoffs. "We're excited the Browns will have such a presence at the Pro Bowl this year," general manager Phil Savage said in a statement. Johnson, making the trip to the Pro Bowl for the fifth straight year, made it clear in interviews in Arizona leading up to the Super Bowl, he's unhappy in Cincinnati. The Bengals have said repeatedly Johnson, who has four years left on his contract, won't be traded. Johnson caught 93 passes for a club-record 1,440 yards and eight touchdowns last season. He will accompany teammate T.J. Houshmandzadeh, who was picked for his first Pro Bowl. It will mark the first time a pair of Bengals receivers reached the Pro Bowl together. Gates is still bothered by the left big toe he dislocated in San Diego's wild-card playoff win over Tennessee on Jan. 6. He was able to play in a divisional win at Indianapolis and the AFC Championship Game loss at New England. Williams had been bothered by an ankle injury since December.

Do the repairs yourself. If you don't know how to, learn. Get yourself a Haynes manual and start looking at Ford forums on the internet for help. Ball joints aren't really that hard to do. As for the oil pan seal, never done one so I'm not sure what it entails. You can save yourself a lot of money doing repairs yourself!!

I have no experience with steel cases so I looked it up. Found this and thought it was interesting. Steel cases "Despite popular misconception, steel-cased ammunition does not increase wear on the chamber or extractor of firearms. This is because the steel used in cartridge cases is mild steel which is very soft in comparison to the type of steel used in firearm components. The only disadvantage to using steel cases is that steel is not as "elastic" as brass, and therefore does not create such an efficient gas seal when a fire-arm is fired. It is no coincidence that small arms ammunition has been using brass cartridge cases for over 120 years." This also came from wikipedia so take it for what its worth.
