I'm a fairly hardened person when it comes to national tragedy. The batman shooting was sad news, but it didn't effect me personally. Other mass shootings have never been anything more to me than bad news, and I went on with my day. Call me cold, but I'm just being honest. When I heard this news yesterday it felt like someone punched me in the stomach. I have been down in the dumps all day and just can't get these awful images out of my head of those poor poor innocent babies lying in their classroom huddled together in fear and being shot to death. Then there is the teacher who saved her kids by hiding them.....the same age as Jennifer and I....shot to death. Jenn being a teacher, and Cash being in the same school.....it just hit me really hard that this could just have easily had been them. It hurts and I'm at a total loss of words. My heart is broken for the families, the school, the town, and our nation. I just don't understand. Been fighting the lump in my throat all day....call me a sissy, but it's just so sad.

He finally got a record deal.....he's on the radio in Oklahoma on a lot of country stations and he just shot this last week. Not bad for a farm kid eh?

Aren't tablets essentially just bigger cell phones without calling abilties? I'm not trying to give a negative opinion on them at all here.....just curious if I'm missing something with them. It's just like my samsung galaxy but a bit bigger.

There has to be more to it than losing 1.60 an hour. I wish I had a copy of the contract negotiation. Our contract simply extended this year for the next 3. No wage increases whatsoever.

honestly fellas I can't remember where I read that.....either yahoo or msnbc. I'm pretty sure I read profits....but I have been wrong before. Regardless.....I want to the contract n negotiations before I pass judgement on the unions. A lot of ppl blame unions and assume it's always them due to the united autoworkers union that WAS greedy. Not all union is the same.

My prediction is they made this national news play and filed just to posture against the union. I bet you an agreement is reached and things go back to normal in another week or so.

before judgement is passed on the "greedy" unions.....you should look at the union contract they were fighting over. They made a 4 billion dollar PROFIT last year. PROFIT!!!!! They had room to negotiate.

It's that time of year again folks. For those who are new, we do a random drawing each year for interested members to exchange gifts with one another over the holiday season. If you are interested simply post your username in this thread and on Thanksgiving I will draw names for exchange partners. It will be your responsibilty to get in contact with your partner to work out shipment and all that fun stuff. The only rules are that you must send a gift in order to receive one. It's not any fun when a partner doesn't fullfill his/her side of the deal. This has always been a great time on this site and is looked forward to by many members. Also you must be a member with at least 200 posts, or a long time member who is approved by myself or a moderator. Members not following through will be banned from the exchange the following year. On a side note, I wanna remind everyone to make sure you can do this before you sign up. Unforseen circumstances do occur. If that happens let your partner know, and don't leave them hanging. It just makes for a bad situation. You will be banned from the exchange if this happens and you do not notify your partner about what is going on. These rules aren't meant to be mean, they just help things go smoothly Happy holidays folks! Get signed up! The sign up deadline is December 1st or the first time I sign on after the 1st.

Ruts on here in east central Oklahoma. Bucks are going nuts....even in the warm weather. I know of lotsa chase sightings. Kevin shot a nice buck a few days ago.....not sure if he was cruising or what.

Bug is right......read it! I saw the same post on facebook and it's totally bogus. I don't like Obama, but no sense in making a mountain out of nothing.

I always try to do no shave November, but after 2 weeks, the facial hair literally starts to hurt my face.

Don't get so worked up over night time pictures of your deer. A trail cam pic on gives you a small part of the big picture. They may be hitting your camera at dark, but they're on their feet somewhere headed to your camera during daylight hours.....ya just gotta figure out where. Remember, deer feed primarily at night. They're nocturnal by nature. I've had a mix of deer on cams this year....but after driving the place 3 times we saw deer each time.

Yea I hear ya on the price Jeramie. Ya know, contrary to what my parents taught me growing up, I have learned that the old saying " you catch more flies with honey." to be false. If your nice to people when it comes to business, they'll walk all over you. If you get a little crazy, throw in a curse word or two, the issue usually gets solved much faster. Sad to say, but I fully believe it to be true.
