Think about all the federal programs that have promoted it's service and where the money actually came from......ummmmm....that would be taxes. What about the Navy, Army, National Guard and Marines? They promote their agendy via race cars that cost tax payers millions of dollars. Again....what law was broken by the President or his Administration by promoting this or any agenda? I'll go ahead and make this easy for you....there is no law that prevents this or makes it illegal.

[/ QUOTE ] I agree with this to a point. Myself – I could care less whether you’re in love with a man, woman or anything else that you could possibly have sex with. My belief is that you’ll be judged by a supreme being one day and you and only you will be held accountable for your actions. Where I go off the deep end on this subject is when we’re forced to “except” them by society, by the media and by the government and when we don’t except them, then we’re labeled as “homophobic” I’m not a homophobic, I’m a middle class, straight white American and have been called a lot worse names other than homophobic but to date this is the only one that really gets under my skin. We’ve even allowed our judicial system to become biased to these freaks. No matter what the situation, you kick a homo’s **** and you’re brought up on charges of a hate-crime. Sure, I be you hated to have to kick his **** – but does that justify a hate-crime? Again, I don’t care what you do in your home – just as long as it’s legal and involves adults, just don’t tell me about and don’t expect me to except it because society thinks I need to.

Can anyone name the only white person in the past 30 years that has challenged the Supreme Court on rulings for minorities? I'll give you a hint - it was in 1977 and the guy won the case. To date we (and I mean white folks) have allowed ourselves to be driven into a hole to where we can't even speak about it for fear of getting drug into court. We have allowed racist ideas to be turned into reality without even speaking out. You see what a small group can do don;t you? Why can't a large group accomplish the same? Racism is running rampid throughout America and it's all because we have allowed things like Black Entertainment Television, Miss Black America, the NAACP and the United Negro Fund to exsist. For racism to finally be abolished, every race will have to realize that ALL men were created equal.
  14. I’ve been reading about this for a few days and have held back until now. It seems that Lee County Florida has adopted a Black Advisory Board to identify areas in the county that need work to help the black communities. Great idea, this is what we need more of. People actually trying to help themselves! Well it seems that the board has come up with a nifty little idea to make life better for blacks, the perfect solution – the end all of end alls for solving all problems. I know, you’re dying to hear it so here goes. The board has proposed that Lee County needs to change the name of the county. Yes its true, Lee County was named after Robert E. Lee and the board is going to propose that the name be changed because it was named after a Confederate General. Now you can call me a racist all you want and you know what, you’re probably more correct than incorrect. But it’s stupidity like this that has reduced myself and others to racism. Do you think that this advisory board cares that Lee wasn’t a slave owner or that Lee himself was very outspoken and anti-slave and that Lee even said that if he thought the Civil War was about slavery he would have joined the Union? No, I don’t think they know or that they even care about truthfully portraying history, this is merely playing the race card. Want to improve things? Get rid of all these idiots trying to improve things....
  15. For all of you that may find it offensive that we commonly refer to the French as “IDIOTS”, then maybe just maybe you’ll start seeing our reasoning. It seems that the good French President Jacques Chirac has come up with an idea to fight the war on AIDS. He is suggesting that the entire world be taxed to finance the fight against AIDS. That's right, he wants taxing authority on the rest of the world. Isn't that just fine? Chirac proposed this “world tax” at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland this week. Chirac says billions on top of the already billions donated would be raised if he could tax all international financial transactions, fuel of air and sea travel and a tax on all airline ticket sales. Our taxes aren't high enough already. Now we should have our wealth seized to pay for health care for people who engage in irresponsible sexual activities!

  17. Ok, before we get started I don’t want to hear a bunch of preaching about how bad smoking is. Unless you’ve been in a coma for the past 30 years, everyone knows that it’s bad for you. For those that haven’t heard, there is a company in Michigan. I believe it’s Michigan – somewhere up north. Anyway, this company adopted a policy starting January 1st that prohibited the use of tobacco products by its employees. The company so far has required employees to take tests to check for tobacco use and have fired people for either the use of tobacco and refusal to take the test. In your opinion, is this a violation of rights and privacy or is the company justified in doing this? I’ll start off with my opinions. 1. Any employer has the right to screen employees for possible uses of illegal drugs and the right to fire anyone that’s partaking in use of illegal drugs. However, tobacco is not an illegal drug and if you allow this to take place then you’ve opened the door to any drug being categorized as “bad for you”. What happens when you can’t have a beer after work because you’re afraid of being fired? Get a cold – better stay away from the medicines that contain alcohol also. 2. A company has the right the prevent the use of tobacco on it’s property however, they don’t have the right to tell you what you can and can’t do in the privacy of your own automobile or home. Privacy laws are created to protect individuals while they’re in their homes and not committing an illegal act. Again, smoking is not an illegal act. My feelings on this is until tobacco use becomes illegal, no one has the right to dictate to you or I what we can and cannot do within the confines of our personal life. Make it illegal and you have solved this problem however you’ve created a whole mess of other problems including taxes, employment rates and unemployment benefits provided by the government. If this is a case of an employee missing work because they’re doing something then every company has or should have policies and guideline that address these issues. They have every right to disapline an employee if that employee has abused sick time, they do not have the right to invade your privacy and tell you what you can and can’t do outside the workplace. Accidents happens, are you ready to empower an employer to tell you that you can’t have a beer at home? Are you ready to empower an employer to tell you that you can’t play softball because you’re at risk for breaking a leg and missing time at work? Are you ready to empower an employer to dictate how many children you can have based on employee benefits and insurance? What other freedoms are you willing to allow an employer to dictate whether you have or have not?

This would require a Constitutional Amendment and anytime you allow any government to start messing around with your Constitution then you’re asking for a whole lot of trouble. The 14th Amendment defines citizenship as the following “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside” Title 8 goes even further in it’s definition: Anyone born inside the United States Any Indian or Eskimo born in the United States, provided being a citizen of the U.S. does not impair the person's status as a citizen of the tribe Any one born outside the United States, both of whose parents are citizens of the U.S., as long as one parent has lived in the U.S. Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year and the other parent is a U.S. national Any one born in a U.S. possession, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year Any one found in the U.S. under the age of five, whose parentage cannot be determined, as long as proof of non-citizenship is not provided by age 21 Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years (with military and diplomatic service included in this time) A final, historical condition: a person born before 5/24/1934 of an alien father and a U.S. citizen mother who has lived in the U.S. My personal feelings are if you can’t find someone qualified to be President out of all of this then we’ve got bigger problems than trying to elect Arnold as our next President.

The original post asked what was your "opinion" about the subject - you can't ask an opinion and expect to give an answer. Two wrongs don't make a right and two rights don't make a wrong. Hours after the tsunami occured you had the same crowd predicting that the earth was vibrating off it's axsis and we're going to go spinning off into space and global warming was running rampid. Abortion is wrong – you’ve offended the women Abortion is right – you’ve offended most Christians Capital Punishment is wrong – you’ve offended the family of someone murdered. Capital Punishment is right – you’ve offended the pro-lifers Merry Christmas – you’ve offended Jews, Muslims, Budists etc. Happy Rosh Hashanah – you’ve offended the Christians. Happy VJ Day – you’ve offended the Japanese. Happy Easter and you’ve offended all those that don’t believe in the resurrection of Christ! Ok, we can all come in here and say good morning, good afternoon and good evening but don’t dare mention Easter, Christmas, VJ Day, Rosh Hashanah, Abortions or Capital Punishment because you “may” offend someone. I’m kind of glad that people get offended and not turn and look the other way. What if the world would have turned and looked the other way on the Jews and wasn’t offended by the acts of Hitler? What if Americans would have turned the other way on blacks and ignored the abuses these people were taking, what if we never found this offensive? What happens when we turn and look the other way with Muslims that hate our very exsistance because we’re afraid we’re going to offend them? Another Sept. 11th will happen and this time will probably be a lot worse. We all have at one time mentioned a certain political party and referenced or labeled them as socialists, communists or just plain idiots. Are we now saying that the next time Ted Kennedy spouts off in a drunken tirate that we’re going to stand idle by and not say something that can be construde as discremetory or offensive about him? You can make that promise but I won’t. Even now while you’re reading this, you’re probably either agreeing with it or you’re saying to yourself “what an idiot”. Knowing that calling someone an idiot is offensive, are you going to let that stop you? I for one sure as **** hope not! Or this place is going to quite pretty quick! Are you going to let your feelings and views not be heard for fear it’s going to offend someone? Thank the lord George Bush never felt this way. Thank the lord that Ronald Reagan never felt this way. Thank the lord that John F. Kennedy didn’t feel this way. Thank the lord that the 54 brave men that signed the Declaration of Independence weren’t afraid of offending King George! You can sit where you are and tell yourself that you’re not going to offer you opinion truthfully because it may offend someone, that’s fine. But given the opportunity, I will offer my views and opinions on any number of issues and when asked a question will give an honest unbiased and responsible answer. You can’t talk about adult subjects and take on a childish mentality about it. I know I just pissed a lot of folks off with that line, but when you choose to discuss the “taboo” subjects like abortion, religion, ethnics and marriage and offer your views and opinions then you better be ready to except the fact that not everyone is going to feel the same way you do. The only real underlying problem here is can you discuss these subject responsibly.
