Re: Gay Marriages in Saskatchewan. I do understand that this is a free country,[at least supposed to be] anyways I dissagree I do not believe that you are born gay, I have never seen pics on caves walls of men 10 thoasand years ago or natives 150 years ago wearing spandex or wearign pom poms!! I do understand that soem peopel are born with extra hormones and such and soem with both sexual organs these peopel are a bit screwedup, they have no idea, what they are man or women!! but to be married then one day decide I want to be with a man or women is not soemthign you are born with in my opinion!! Its like everythign else in this screwed up world, they are allowing it so lets do it,In my opinion most of the gay people had bad relationships, were brought up in a situation were they did not see what they are supposed to[for example no father and brought up by a mother and no man around], or had a mean father and think all men are mean,I am just saying this is what I see and I think its all in the brain not soemthign you were born with!! Lets not start a war on this topic please LOL, !!! BTW The great men and women who fouhgt in the wars and many who died did it so we could live in a free country, they did it alos so we can have say what happens over the people,When they see what is going on today by all the gun laws, all the crap on the war, the gay marriages, the legalization of pot, I know for a fact many will roll over in there graves I know my grandfather is in a freekin furry over it all, he lost 70 of his 90 some men on the beaches on d-day and did it so we could have say not so the goverment can push crap the majority does not want!!

Re: a bit of advice!! jcwa might be better to anser your question about your area but what I find up here if coyotes are in a area its for a reason, whether its bedding or lots of food, I also find soem of these areas are travel roads, the coyotes seem to like to travel soem edges, whether its a lake, slough or even heavy timber!!!I have certain honey holes that i see coyotes nearly every time out, I have one area or a square mile i took out just about 20 last winter, I went back last week and had a pair coem in and seen 2 right from the road!! Good luck with the coyotes!!

My daughter has 2 mule doe tags and me 1 and we decided to head out to the zone we were drawn in todya[its about 80 miles away] I was told that the norht part of the zone is crawling with mules and that most of the area is PRFA pasture that is hunting on foot and accesable to hunting!! We left at 5.30 am feeling thta we would be doen by 10 or so, LOL We got to the road 6 miles past the town of caddilac as we were told by a store owner and a warden, he siad by the tracks was crawling with them and alot of ranchers had bail problems last year!We were abotu 15 minutes before legal huntign time so we got out our lunches and had a snack, in the time we had 11 vehicles drive by us!!!!! most with quads in the back, When the legal tiem started we seen one doe and buck right by the highway but could not shoot, we drove farther in and all private land, all posted, I seen one guy burnign all the trees and working slough bottoms so i stopped and asked permission or for soem help, he was nice but said he loves the wildlife and does not allow hunting, me and the daughter had a good laugh couse he was ripping up perfect ground for deer, and birds LOL!!We then went to the next rancher and he told us to go behind his yard on a trail and we shoudl find deer in the many rivines and slough bottoms, all we seen was 6 other hunters in there that came in from the back, then we headed farther south in the big pastures that "are so great" as we were told, it looked liek desert in there roling hills for as far as the eyes will see but not a chunk of brush, then we got in one that was nice very nice, within 300 yards I spotted a doe going up a hill 1/4 mile away then my daughter spotted 5 more down another 1/4 mile, we did see about 25 deer in a 3 hour hike I could of had one that other hunters scared by but it was runnign broadside at abotu 150 yards and I will not let the daughter shoot a running deer, she has not had enough practice and I did not want to put the rifle away if I tag out incase she wounded one and I had to finish it off so I left it and hoped to cathc up, not a chance!! The deer were so spooked!!It might have soemthign to do with the 30 other vehicles filled with hunters we either seen parked or driving!! We were abotu to leave and decided to tlak to another rancher and he told us abotu thsi spot a few miles away, we wnet over and seen a area crawling with whitetail! We seen at least 10 bucks in a 3 square mile area and one was a deffinate booner and then 2 more in the 150 range if not a bit bigger,it was a super honey hole,I think we are heading back next sat to see if the whitetail are around and hopefully get a mule doe!! If i learnt anything today it was never listen to anyone whne it comes to huntign areas, only trust yourself!!!I should not of trusted others words and did a bit of spotting earlier or at least ogt out first day!! We were skunked but had a good long day together and seen soem of the nicest country awound, I guess you do not need to get a deer to be succesfull!!

Re: .17, 22mag, or .223? .223 no second thoughts!! The .22 mag or the .17 rimfire does not have enough at 150 yards!! My buddy just bought one and last week shot a coyote at at abotu 120 yards and it took off right by me as I was sittign abotu 100 yards away, I dropped him with the .223, all his shell did was enter and not exit, the coyote would of died but how far? only prob took out 1 lung! I liek the .223 out to at least 300 yards, I shot about 100 coyotes last winter and a dozen or so this year with it, great coyote gun and cheap to shoot!!

Re: Lucky!!! I hear ya big time, This happens here all the time , 3 years ago during mule deer season i worked my butt off to get permission startign in july, I had all the land plus extras and once the seaosn started it was raining and muddy, idiots were driving the hilltops,I went or phoned each rancher and told them I did not drive at all on there land and walked in from the maib road and explained that I did not want to be blamed for the wrecked pasture,Guess what alot of the land I was the only one who had permission!! it just sickens me when crap like this happens, it puts a bad name on the rest of us thta actually work to get permission!! Glad you got permission back and good luck!!

My daughter is shooting awsoem and my gun is tuned better than ever!! I am more exited shootign a doe with my daughter than going after the big bucks wiht my bow, jsut the feeling of seeing her so exited is worth more than any deer I shoot will ever make me!! Re: how good are you at long shots? I do not ever recommend shootign at 25 yards then "hoping " it is sighted in at 100, I knwo my 7mm todya was sigted in at 25 to start at, at 100 it was over 4" high, way to high, every gun has a bit different trajectory and should eb set at 100 for finall tuning[or 50 ] I also would never recommend shootign any farther than you can shoota fist size grouping , this does not mean off a bench either, if you use bypods or shootign sticks practice with that, I always start on a bench to get the gun tuned then all my practice is with my shootign sticks that are always in my hand,I will and have not think twice about shootign out to 400 yards if i know the exact distance and no wind[not much anyways] and if it isd a perfect shot!! I knwo I can make this shot couse I practice it all the tiem, todya i was hittign 2 liter pop bottles out to 400 yards off my shootign sticks,I know I am abotu 2" high at 100, 1/2" high at 200 5-6" low at 300 and about 17" low at 400 yards, 0-300 yards I place it on the center of his chest and he drops and at 400 I put it abotu 5" above his back and he drops!! I have seen alot of peopel try shots like thsi and not everyoen can and I would never reccomend it unless you shoot lots and know your gun, last eyar I show well over 2000 centerfire rounds so I am highly confident, if you have any doubt don't even try the shot,I believe confidence is the #1 reason behind misses and wounded animals next to guns not being sighted in!!I know when I am shootign good I do not even think abotu it, I just put the crosshairs were I want to hit and it hits there, once i start thinking about the shot and double guessing myself it will be a miss, whether its target, deer, or coyotes does not matter!!

Re: The Canadians go Quiet! I have a couple buddies who got drawn for mules in zone 4, I know there are soem monstrers in there couse I seen them in august ,they seemed to hole up soemwere with the nice weather, they have hunted 4 strait days and 2 nights after work and walked miles and miles of draws and seen 1 buck in the 170 range with weak front forks and 2 more in the high 150'5 and only abotu 15 little guys, they are seeing up to 100 does a day though and in heards of up to 20, I went out with him last night to were I seen a good 180" 2 weeks ago and a really wide one not sure how good but nice looking from a distance, we walked every draw and every slough bottom, put up tons of does and 2 spikes! The bucks are just sittigjn away from the bush in the fields I believe, we have checked everywere else!! I did see 2 140-150" whitetail last night one was bedded in a standing wheat crop, they were both older deer so i sure hope I can get one for my brother coming from medicine hat and my duaghter, they will both flip if they get a deer like that!!I just hope one of them od not jump up and give me a 10 second decision whether to shoot or not couse they sure looked good untill I glassed for a while, sure is ahrd to tell a 150" deer from a 165-170 in a few seconds!! BTW it sure would be a good deer to save for buckee if he ever coems out to hunt with me LOL!!
