I've always shot Thunderheads...great broadhead. They fly very well with my fieldpoints, only had to adjust my sight very slight bit. I'm shooting them this year on arrows fletcher helical with blazers and what a difference!

Does look like a muscle/shoulder hit...I've done it and had the blood start out great like that then stop. Horrible feeling but sounds like a good effort put in. Deer may live through it.

Got up this AM to see several inches of snow on the ground and trees...first official snow of the year! Don't know whether I'm mad I didn't get up early to hunting in it or ok because the tree branches are all sagging... Anyone else get snow?

Nothing here yet but weather is looking good with a few inches of snow this AM! Hard to get up early to hunt when you work till 11pm or later....Got Friday then Sunday - Tuesday off so will be doing some hunting then!

The big buck is on one side of the road, the doe with youngsters and smaller 8 the other side of the road but within general area...Hoping to see one of the 8s in bow range, preferably the big guy, hee hee

I still make it in here pretty much daily...now that hunting season is here I try to cram in hunting before work since I work 3p-11p. Realtree still is the best forum!

I have to say I have a Cabelas outfitter camo fleece vest (thanks to DB) and I love it....it's warm, quiet, comfy...they make jacket and I think bibs in it to....I wear it under/over my lightweight jacket. So you might want to check out there jacket...

My Kodak of 7 years is on it's way to the garbage...been a good camera but it's starting to do funny things, flash now isn't working, etc... So I'm looking for a new digital camera - want something more compact that is easier to take hunting, and out in the woods. Been looking at Panasonic and Nikon compact/point and shoot cameras. Anyone have either of these brands? My mm has a new Panasonic...so far it seems like a nice little cam.Let me know your input, thanks!

Sounds like you hit the shoulder...which if so he'll probably be fine. Made a follow-up shot on a deer last year and ended up hitting the shoulder. We tracked him for over a mile, never laid an eye back on him, blood eventually quit. Deer are tougher than you think. Wouldn't hurt to check any nearby water sources...

I use the photo taking mode on all my cameras - set for the highest or second highest number of photos it will take per trigger. I have 2 Spypoints - an IR5 which has been flawless and just got an I6 which is similar. They are a great cam for around $100. I also have 3 homebrews which are a little more $ but take great photos, I've had a couple issues here and there, they always try and fix em' for me. I usually have my cams set facing up/down a trail or where trails intersect or a scrape, etc, to get the most pics. Have fun, they are quite addicting.

Bought this from a member on AT, he used it one season. I have had it sitting at home not using it, comes with an Insane Archerybow mount, all the cords, instructions, SD card, has a camo wrap already on it, etc... I put it on my bow and shot a couple times but it has never seen the woods. It's in great condition, works great! I'm just not going to use it like I thought.Paid $80 for it so would like to try and get that back. Will ship TYD for $80. I will post pics up here today asap. Well you did get way off topic in my 2014 thread...just a little bit excessive, lol.

Next week is cooling down it looks like. This weekend still going to be warm but I'll be out there...you never know!
