The pump on my Mossberg is pretty shaky/rattley on the old one, never had it jam. On the newer Mossberg 500 super bantam, if you slam it really hard, it's stiff and gets stuck...it's better now after a few years of breaking in...take it apart and oil it...

If I do some goose hunting in the fall/winter, it's going to make hauling decoys so much easier, lol.

I measured my shotgun 10 point for fun, around 123....I'm going to say this guy is closer to 130.Congrats on an awesome buck!

Use to shoot a smooth bore on my Mossberg 500 20 ga. Bought a rifled bore to go on it and it shoots great with Hornady SSTs. Like others said you want to sight in with the ammo you'll be using.

I use an HSS Ultra Light - size small/medium....they base them on weight range I think. If she is really small HSS makes a youth sized one as well. I think a ladder would be the best bet for her to hunt out of until she gets comfortable and some experience.

I'd take it to a bow shop to get a checked out....Are the arrows the right spine/weight for her bow set up? Are the strings ok? A few things to consider...take it to a shop and have it checked thoroughly.

:DCame yesterday about 10:30am......Took it on a trail ride, then later on took it to go hang a trail cam up. Too bad I'm working all weekend, otherwise you know where I'd be:D

Have not shot anything else other than NAP Thunderheads....was going to try Muzzys but haven't....seems the one thing that does change is the price of broadheads:-x

Anyone plant anything this year? How are they doing? I have a new clover/chicory plot that looks good...a turnip plot that looks ok....and the soybeans look good except so do the weeds with them. Just picked up a bag of WGI Backwoods No-Till to plant in some spots I'm scraping up with a rake. Main thing is the apple trees in our woods which is a big draw for the deer are LOADED!:cool2:

Do some scouting...find where the trails are....I'd say any of the stands I hunt by corn fields are 20-30 yards in the woods from the edge....and the corners seem to be the hot spots...
