  1. A day late but happy birthday!!
  2. I didn't even try the power steering, it was easy enough for me to drive and even my mom didn't have a problem. Dealer emailed me, said should be in July 11th....
  3. Another thing to consider is the length of stock/length of pull. My first gun was a full size 20ga Mossberg 500....I could shoot it but when I got a Mossberg 500 20ga Super Bantam, the 1" or so shorter in length of stock/LOP made a difference. I can't shoulder the full size gun as well as I can the slightly smaller one.
  4. On a 2013 John Deere Gator 825i....this girl will be! Took a trip yesterday, my mother tagged along, after all I told her she should drive it if I'm going to let her use it for yard work:kiss: This JD dealer was so much more better, very nice guys, helpful. Took the Gator out for a spin, they even had a dirt trail with hill and what not set up to go on...The Gator XUV 825i, even in just 2WD powered up that hill without a hesitation. We avoided the mud muddles to be nice and not dirty their machine, lol. Prices a lot better, did cut me a little break...so it's on order, will be a few weeks till it's here. When it is, you'll know it...or you'll be asking "Where is TG, she sure hasn't been on here" lol Big investment but I've saved up for it and sure am not getting any younger. Should be around for quite a few years. Way nicer machine than the Polaris in my opinion.
  5. A day late but happy birthday! Hope it was greats!
  6. I'd agree there will be some difference....everyone shoulders the gun a little different, gun stock on cheek different, etc....
  7. I picked up a Kodak Playsport for $80 slightly used on AT, with a bow mount. Figured for what I want to do with it, it'll work....which is deer hunting!
  8. Welcome back! I remember ya!! Forums aren't quite what they were back then, but hopefully we'll get them going more.... Welcome home!
  9. That looks pretty good, nice groups!!!
  10. To WTNHUNT!!!! Hope you have a super day!! :happybday:
  11. Well the dealer did quote me below the MSRP on the Gator. Was looking up another dealer, will call them but online they were about $700 more.
  12. Well what's everyone got planned for the up coming weekend? Lots of weeding to do in the veggie gardens....everything is soaked from all this rain...Probably continue to work on some trail trimming in our woods.
  13. What are some good "haggling" techniques? lol Talked to a neighbor today who has 2 older gators. they love them, zero issues. There is even someone local in the area they have service them once a year. Their one Gator they've had 15 years....
  14. Had an email from someone on another forum wanting to trade their Hoyt for my "free" Elite....not happening, lol. Not even going to get my bow for like 8 weeks at least, lol!
  15. Man, where do you get the free time! Some nice projects you've worked on.
  16. Yeah, the JD gator with the accessories I wanted, minus power steering, was quoted at $15,000, yikers.
  17. Drove a Gator XUB 825i briefly today in the pouring rain...then stopped on the way home and drove a Polaris Ranger 900, 800, and 500. The 500 felt like a rattle box compared to the 800 and 900. Really like the adjustable driver seat on the 900 LE, power steering is also nice.Anymore input? Will probably drive them again at some point....basically down to Gator or Ranger....
  18. Oh ok! I'd have to see a photo to know if I even saw him or not from a distance, lol!
  19. I didn't talk to a whole lot of people...who's John Nimmons on RT? I pretty much tackled the courses on my own.
  20. Read an article in the NY Outdoor News...suppose to start building in the fall...I'm excited but who knows what NY might do and make them change their mind...Was suppose to get a Bass Pro few years ago and Buffalo messed that up....
  21. Forgot to mention they at the apple buck set up.20 yards and I nailed the apple, except the apple split and my arrow went through into brush. Couldn't find it at first, finished the course, had an hour to spare before the raffling so went back, found my arrow, 4 other people's arrows, and someone's Thermacell. Did find the guy who lost his Thermacell.
  22. Shot the Rinehart R100 both days this weekend. At the end yesterday they raffled off stuff. Last thing they did was for an Elite Bow and guess who won a new Elite bow....this girl!!! I still can't believe it! There was someone rom Elite there so met with him and they have my information. Getting a 2013 Elite Hunter, black riser/RT AP snow limbs. Was going to get just the RT AP limbs but he kept saying how sharp the black riser and snow limbs are, and my 2011 Elite hunter is all RT AP so thought guess I'll go for it! Won't be ready for about 8 weeks and will get sent to my bow shop. I still can't believe I got drawn!!!! This bow will also have tad longer DL - 25.5", talked with the Elite guy there and he had a 2013 I was able to draw back, have felt like the 25" is a tad short, he was very helpful. Will be a 40-50 lb bow and will max it out since I'm currently at 53 lb on my other bow and don't see myself going above that much more. I shot in the Women's Hunter division and placed 3rd on the African range, and 1st on the N. American range, got a pin for each place and also earned an R1000 pin. A great day and a great shoot! So does anyone else have any snow camo bows? As far as I know Elite is one of the few that offer snow camo.
  23. I can't complain...never get out to the Bass Pro in auburn when they have events and Cabelas in PA is about 5 hours away. At least now I could get to this more readily and who knows, may meet Tim Andrus once and for all. I guess they figure they are going to attract a lot from Ontario...
  24. And it's going to be on my side of the state, lol! Guess where this girl is going to be going next year! Cabela's to open Cheektowaga store - Buffalo - Business First
