  1. Re: camera binoculars. Never heard of or seen these. Can you provide a link so I can check them out? Kind of interesting.
  2. Re: bow quiver I have a '05 Hoyt Ultramag and a Fuse Navigator Sight. Its one of the adjustable sights, mostly for target shooting, but I keep 2 or 3 pins on it when it gets time for hunting. The problem is a little bar where you adjust the yardage. It is in the way of the bolts that attach the sight to the bow where you also attach a quiver. I know that Fuse makes a 2 piece quiver that would work, but I don't like shooting with a quiver on. I want it to be a detachable one. http://www.fusearchery.com/sights/navigator.tpl
  3. Re: anyone else feel overwhelmed... I would suggest to anybody to try the Grim Reaper broadheads. Even if you don't like mechanicals, you just might after you try these babies. They are awesome.
  4. Re: bow quiver This is a great topic because I am in the same boat. I thought about just putting the arrows in my backpack, but I want a quiver as well. Help us please!

    New Toy

Re: New Toy [ QUOTE ] Congrats on the new rest. Just curious if you feel you're shooting better or is the only benefit, saving your fletchings? [/ QUOTE ] I really do feel that it has improved my shooting and saving the fletchings is just an added benefit.

    New Toy

Well its not really a new toy I guess, just an addition to my bow. Made the switch to a fall away rest a couple days ago. Switched from a Whisker Biscuit to the Ripcord. Went out and shot it today and was pretty pleased. Here she is in the "locked"(still falls away when fired) position. And here is just one group of many I shot from 20 yards. Overall I am pretty pleased with the change. I know that the fall away will be a lot easier on my fletchings which is a good thing. Just wanted to share in case anyone was considering a Ripcord and was skeptical. If you are, go try one out for yourself and I am willing to bet you will be bringing it home on your bow.

  8. Re: Looking for a new sight help. Check out the Fuse sights. They might be a little pricey, but I see quite a few people with them now. I know I love mine. www.fusearchery.com
  9. Re: Just bought some gas....... Went by the gas station, just to take this picture, not to fill up. This is just absolutely ridiculous if you ask me and something needs to be done....FAST.
  10. Re: Shooting down their rescuers... This type of news makes me sick. Shooting at the rescuers, that is just insane. Then they have the nerve to gripe and moan about not getting food and help. Simply amazing.

    Rest?

Got a question or two for you experts. I currently have the whisker biscuit on my Hoyt, but am really considering the Ripcord. I know it isn't foolproof but I want something similar to the whisker biscuit that holds my arrow in place. The only this is, is this rest really worth $90? I shoot decent with the whisker biscuit, but I kind of feel like if I get the Ripcord my groups will tighten even more. Another question: Does anyone here have one of the Sims Stealth Cable Dampeners on their bow? I ordered one from BassPro to try out and wondered how much vibration it takes out of the bow and how much quieter it makes the bow. Also, do I need to take my bow to the bow shop to be put in a bow press to put the dampener on or can I do it myself without a bow press? Thanks.

    Here she is!!!

Re: Here she is!!! Congrats!!! I had a Martin a few years back but sold it to get a Hoyt and was shooting the other day with the guy I sold it to, and man you are right, those things are quiet. Not to say that my Hoyt isn't, but I just noticed how quiet my old Martin was. It was a great shooting bow too. Well enough rambling, congrats, good luck and can't wait to see what you take with it!
  13. Re: BROADHEADS???? what u using 100 grain Grim Reapers. EVERYONE should try these broadheads at least once.
  14. Re: Yet Another Peep Question? I would just take it to your pro shop and ask them how long the tubing should be in case you have to replace it again. I have had to replace the tubing several times, but never did it myself. The good thing about the tubing peep sights is that you know the tubing is going to turn the peep into position EVERYTIME you draw.
  15. Re: Incompotent hospital Sounds about like the one here in my hometown. Sorry to hear that, hope she gets better and something is done with that hospital.
  16. Re: Bow Sights I myself have the Fuse Navigator and I got a Toxonics light put on it. Let me tell you what, the pins are insanely bright now. When I turn the light on it is way brighter than my brothers Truglo Brite Sight which is insanely bright too. I see a lot of peopole with the Fuse sights now. They are getting popular.
  17. Re: Sight Adjustments Yup, always move the sight in the direction your arrows are hitting.
  18. Re: Deer are turning brown! Coats are starting to change here a little, leaves are starting and the corn is getting pretty brown. Come on Oct. 1st!!!
  19. Re: What\'s your favorite Broadhead? Grim Reapers.
  20. I know most people here have chosen the yellow jacket target for broadheads, but I was wondering what the best target for field points is. I am looking to buy one, but I'm not sure what to get. Mind you I am on a budget and don't want something too expensive, but I want it to last. Suggestions please! Thanks.
  21. Tonight I went out and shot my bow like normal, but I wanted to experiment a little. Last year before opening day I tried and tried to tune in some Muzzy 4 blade broadheads with my Martin Altitude, but just couldn't get them to fly like I wanted so I thought I'd try the new Grim Reapers. Took a nice doe with them and probably won't change, but I thought I'd try something with my new Hoyt Ultramag tonight. So I got out the Muzzy 4 blades again and screwed one into one of my new Beman ICS's. Pulled back the bow, put the pin on the vitals on the deer target, let the arrow fly and was amazed. The arrow hit just about 1 inch to the right. Went to retrieve my arrow and do it all over again. Shot another arrow and the same result. Pretty interesting to know that my new Hoyt is set up even better than my old Martin, which I thought was set up perfect. The only thing is, I shot a different arrow(still same Beman ICS) with the Grim Reapers on it, shot the broadhead with blades down like an expandable is and hit perfect. Got that arrow and "locked" the blades into an open position so it was shooting like a fixed blade broadhead and hit the EXACT spot as the last one I fired. So needless to say I won't be switching from the Reapers, but good to know that if they fail I can now shoot the Muzzy's. Happy camper here. So if you are having trouble sighting in fixed blade broadheads you can either move your sight, buy expandables(Grim Reapers is what I recommend), or what I would do is take it to make sure it is set up properly and everything is perfect.
  22. Re: Homemade Cover Scent Bingo! That is the exact thing I was wanting. Sorry I didn't specify it, but thats the original recipe I was looking for. Thanks a bunch. I will definitely use the others as well, great tips guys.

    Surveyors tape

Re: Surveyors tape I do this every year, and nope, doesn't have any effect on the deer that I've seen pass right by it.

    Yessssss

Woohoo! Was just informed tonight that if I help my brother clean out this lady's garage that I will be able to hunt on 260 acres of primetime deer hunting land. This is great news, as I was kind of bummed out from having my previous hunting woods logged. Also very good news that the woman is saying she has been seeing some VERY large bucks. Needless to say, opening day can't come soon enough. Sorry, had to share my jubilation with everyone!
  25. Re: 3 or 4 blades?/ Muzzys or exspandable broadhea I have shot Muzzy's but couldn't get them tuned in like I wanted, so I switched to Grim Reapers, and I don't think I will be changing anytime soon. If I ever did switch, it would probably be to another expandable, maybe the Spitfires, always hearing good things about them too.
