  2. Re: TEAM 15 huntrman here and ready to roll...
  3. I want to start off by giving their line of sights the utmost praise. I finally decided to order one and chose the Nitro Extreme. Put it on the bow and shot with it, and yeah it is a lot different, but I'm getting more and more used to it and I KNOW I'm going to love it for hunting. Now to the real reason I started a thread. I ordered a decal and the RSR system for my Nitro Extreme on Sunday. I am really over anxious to get them both, especially the RSR system before Saturday which is the bow opener. I was just curious if anyone here has ever ordered anything DIRECTLY from Trophy Ridge and what the shipping method used was. I'm not mad or anything that it is taking a few days, which is normal I'm sure, I'm just really curious as to what others have experienced. Thanks.
  4. Re: grim reapers My brother and I both used them last year with great success. Pass through EVERYTIME. I shot a doe at about 17 yards and she went a total of 40 yards. My brother took several dear last year with no troubles finding them at all. Massive holes they leave. Worth every penny IMO.

  6. I just wanted to tell everyone to MAKE SURE ALL NUTS AND BOLTS on your bows, sights, quiver, etc. are tight and ready to go before the opener. The last thing you want is your sight or something moving before/while you are in your stand or while drawing back on that big one. I wish everyone good luck.
  7. Re: Update on hurricane Rita Yeah this thing is a beast and to top it all off, it still has ~12 hours of warm water to go through. The hurricane will start going through some changes on its way to landfall. The eye will change over and over again, and it could possibly get to 185mph winds. Sure it will weaken a little before it hits land, BUT this is still something that you don't want to mess with. If I lived in that area, there would be no question that I would be out of there in a hurry. God Bless and good luck to those who are in the path.

    Hurricane Rita

Re: Hurricane Rita I totally agree with the others saying leave. This beast is a CAT 5 hurricane. Not something you want to mess with, for sure. I know you feel some obligation to stay with your home, but life is more precious. Be careful and good luck.
  9. Re: For those of you shooting fall away rest [ QUOTE ] I shoot mine with c vane up slightly left or right, but most of the time straight up. [/ QUOTE ] This is the way I shoot my Ripcord.

    pc problem,,,help

Re: pc problem,,,help Just a thought, but maybe you don't have let me view attachments enabled. I am assuming you are using Outlook Express, so here is how you enable it. But I must forwarn you, like others have said, DO NOT OPEN ATTACHMENTS FROM PEOPLE YOU DO NOT KNOW. In Outlook Express go to Tools, then Options. Once in here you will see a bunch of tabs at the top. Click on the Security Tab. Now under Virus Protection in that window you will see a box that is either checked or unchecked that says "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus." If there is not already a check in the box next to this, put a check in it, click Apply, then click Ok. Now exit out of Outlook Express. Open Outlook Express once again and try to view/save your friends attachment. But like I said, DO NOT OPEN ATTACHMENTS FROM PEOPLE YOU DO NOT KNOW. If you do want to open an attachment, another safety precaution you can take is to save the attachment where you can find it, right click it and click something like "Scan for virus"(depending on what virus scanner you have). This way it will scan the file before you open it. Let me know if what I just explained worked, or if I made it too complicated, which is very possible. lol.
  11. Re: mechanical broadheads [ QUOTE ] Im using the Grim Reaper Tricor Razor Tips this season.....this is why It employs the same bone cutting tip that the MUZZY uses.... They thick razor sharp cutting blades are set back futher for zero delflection and the blades are spring loaded, that can be opened just by vane contact. This mechanical is like no other,,,,,it also can be used as a fixed blade head, by simply locking back the three cutting blades.... But remember anything mechanical that has moving parts can be prone to failure,,this is just FACT,,,,but better and better technology and testing is making this less likely..... Hunt Safe, Hunt Smart, and hopefully we get to see what you have harvested this year..Good Luck.... [/ QUOTE ] This will be my 2nd year of using the Grim Reapers. I ABSOLUTELY love them. They fly exactly like my field tips. Combine that with how they operate, the cutting diameter, and how tough they are, you won't be disappointed if you try these.
  12. Welcome to the great thing called bowhunting. You will have your misses and your success. It truly is an awesome thing. Now get back out there, keep practicing and arrow one. Good Luck!
  13. Re: bowhunting starts in WI Lucky! Good Luck to you guys. I will be out in the field in approx. 2 weeks. Absolutely cannot wait.
  14. I used to have a whisker biscuit and shot **** feather up. I switched to a Ripcord drop away. My question is, do I still shoot **** feather up, to the side or down? Which is it for a drop away rest, or does it really matter? I seem to be shooting decent with **** feather up, but I want to make sure I am doing things right. Thanks!
  15. I was just sitting around pondering some things and I am thinking about changing sights yet again. I am wanting to try the vertical pins that I keep seeing everyone have. I am thinking of getting one of the Trophy Ridge sights, but am wondering how easy it is to use one of these sights with the 3 or 5 vertical pins. If anyone has one, please let me know what you think of them. Thanks.
  16. Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUYS Thanks Buckee, much appreciated. Even though it is my 21st birthday which is a big deal to some, I will be more focused on the impact years later of what happened in 2001. Please say a small prayer for the families that were affected by this great tragedy if you would please. Happy Birthday to the others as well. God Bless.
  17. Re: 36.69 stinkin dollars Filled up my Jeep Grand Cherokee today. 19 gallons and $58 dollars later, I was on my way....steaming about it the whole time.

Re: I was asked.... This is a tough one. I would go with Michael or one of the Drury brothers. Quality people for sure.

  21. Re: Here she is! She is a beaut!!! I know I love my Hoyt and I'm sure you'll love yours for awhile too. Good Luck!
  22. I was just curious if anyone called Hunters View or filled out the form online to receieve the free replacement harness from the recall of all 2004 harnesses. If so, how long did it take to get your harness? I filled out the form a couple weeks ago and I still haven't received my free replacement. Just curious.

    Ginsing

Re: Ginsing My brother digs it every year. He went to sell it the other day. He told me he had a little under 2lbs dry and got about $455. So there you go.
  24. Re: Already? Well driving around the country looking for deer, I have noticed that the corn is indeed looking really dry this early. It amazes me, but then again I look at the front yard and I can see why it's so dry. Not much rain here in awhile.

    Already?

Went out to hang another deer stand, trim shooting lanes, and fix another stand and couldn't help but notice combines in the fields already!? This is kind of odd for me to see this early because it seemed like it took forever last year to get corn out. Anyone else seeing this already? Just curious.
