Re: Any Pecan farmers????? thanks guys---I have done a little more research on the problem--Starting around August first you need to spray the surrounding area with diazenon and then dust the trunk of the tree with seven dust---and repeat every 10 days for about 6 weeks--which will take care of 90% of the problems. hey jeramie--that ou/duke game was great this weekend! too bad you guys couldn't hold on to that lead--would've been a great win for the big 12. todd

I have a bunch of pecan trees on my new land so the girls and I decided to go pick a few today. I probably have at least 20 natives and 1/2 dozen of paper shell trees. We picked a big bag of natives but unfortunately every paper shell pecan---and there were thousands---all had worms. The natives did not have the worms. So my question is: what can I do to prevent this worm infestation in the future other than spraying. And if spraying is the only prevention what time of year is the best time to spray and with what. Here are the girls having fun picking pecans. Before we were done we ended up having pecan wars with each other so a good 1/4 of the pecans became bombs. thanks for the advise todd

Re: HELP!!!! Fight of my Life impending!!!! Suburban is a great truck/suv. if it was taken care of you should easily get another 60K miles. However, with 90K miles be sure to have a good mechanic check it out and make sure it is sound. A great family vehicle and very safe. todd

Re: this is what happens when ..... (pic) ouch--glad everyone made it out ok. We had a tragedy here in oklahoma several years ago when a captain fell asleep and ran into a bridge and drivers drove right off into the lake. I get an errey (sp?) feeling everytime I drive over that bridge. todd

Re: NO DEER in 3 days i think it has been a tough year for most people--compared to previous years. The harvest for Oklahoma is down according to early reports. Stick with it my friend. I have had dry spells for several days to see a change in the weather and suddenly start seeing deer. good luck the rest of the season todd
