Re: Preparing For Controlled Hunt NEED HELP!!!!!!!! I don't know if the rut is in full swing yet here in Oklahoma---I am seeing bucks chasing does but I haven't seen any does being receptive yet. The does run away from the bucks---acting like they are scared to death. May work may not---I put out some doe in heat on Saturday---the does I had come in didn't pay any attention to it at all. I had a buck go by it and ignored it also---he had his eyes on the does. At least it didn't scare any of them. todd

Re: confused When I was a kid my friends dog got shot with an arrow through the gut. We pulled the arrow out the rest of the way--stunk like guts and the darn dog lived. It wasn't shot with a broadhead though--just a field tip. Anything is possible---I've seen wounds in dogs and cats that I would have never thought they would live through but did. The chances of 2 does with only one ear in the same area is little. todd

Re: all for naught, advise please I don't know what you can do other than what fisherguy said--contact the local game warden--tell him your story and see what you can do. If he tell's you nothing--then at least take benefit that you know the deer died quickly and isn't suffering or going to waste. I am very sorry--that really stinks. todd

Re: Doe\'s Question! the only way i know of is to check her bag. if she has milk you should be able to get a little out by squeezing (milking) a teat. I guess you could also cut into a gland and see if it is producing milk. todd
