    Vehicle Payment

i had a $600 truck payment--financed 3 years with 0% interest. I think the more reasonable thought would be how many years to have to finance the loan instead of the amount. If you can't pay it off in 4 years then you probably should pass.
  2. I have a red-dot scope on my 835 Turkey gun and absolutely love it. Won't ever hunt turks with out it. Here is a tip---when you first sight your scope in just start at 15 yards and shoot dove loads. Sight it in with the cheap dove loads (easy on the shoulder and wallet). Once you have it sighted in perfect with the dove loads then back up to where you want your turkey loads and shoot a turkey shot---you should be very close and only have to shoot 2 or 3 times to get her sighted in. good luck todd
  3. nice collection there yep--i remember him. I think he got into a disagreement with some members and left. I believe he was a guide in Canada???
  4. I have used the imperial products--very pricey but they are very good quality seeds and make a good plot--however most seeds will make a great plot with proper soil preperation.
  5. yes--rye is a great cereal grain and seems to be one of the most hardiest cereal grains. It is also very palatable to deer. I don't think you can go wrong with trying it in the shaded area. Crimson clover would be a nice plant to partner up with the rye.
  6. one awesome place and Anthony--it's members like you that make this place so awesome! todd
  7. Happy Birthday---hit the 40 a few years ago. have a good one todd
  8. I have used them in a blend that I got from Hamann Farms--their winter blend. The deer used them very much like the turnips.
  9. great pics! That's a lot of sheds!

    Offical WTG Doc thread

Sorry guys---i just got put on injured reserves due to a pulled index finger muscle. My mouse had smoke rising after the chase.
  11. i shoot a stoeger O/U and love it for wing shooting. Almost shoot it exclusively now. For turkey though I have an 835 set up with a red dot scope and use the factory turkey choke. I get excellent results out to 40 yards. The gun is absolutely deadly on turkeys. Put a red dot scope on that 835 and get it sighted in----no need to get a new gun the 835 will do all you need for turks! todd

    1,000 for me

Congrats Chris--maybe i'll give you a present in chat tonight--maybe the 1000th post kick:)
  13. dang--that's a good shoot right there. Those rings are sure hard to clean. Their skin is like super-glued on. congrats todd
  14. i have never owned a CD. I know quite a few people that shoot them with no problems at all. Keep it clean and it should do just fine.
  15. William is correct--hard to beat clover. Don't know about the pheasant and grouse but the rabbits, deer, and turkeys will sure eat it. There is a good chance with the plot being in the woods that the soil is very acidic--you might want to toss down about 150# of pelleted lime (available at Home Depot) to get the pH a little more alkaline. If the deer don't browse it too heavy it should do fine and stay green all winter.
  16. I'll disagree with the majority here---I do believe that Pete Carroll is an outstanding college coach. If the job was so easy then why was the program just mediocre until he arrived. Sure they had some great teams many years back if you guys think that job is so easy the how did he turn the team around. Heck--Oklahoma should be an easy job with all the tradition but after Switzer left OU turned into a mediocre team until the hiring of Bob Stoops--and Carrol has a better BSC record than Stoops---who many consider to be one of the top coaches in CFB. I'd hire Carroll in a second for my college coach. Sanchez ia very good quarterback but another year in college might have helped him and secured a higher draft pick next year--we will never know though. Carroll has been in the NFL and know what it takes--he honestly probably thought the young man was making a mistake. I still don't see Sanchez being a number 1 pick.
  17. ambien is a nasty drug---1/2 tablet works great for a while--then you need 1 tablet--and then you need 2 and so on until the body keeps requiring more and more. My wife did a lot weird things while on the drug for insomnia---that drugs is banned from my house.
  18. ohhh---to have the power.................
  19. at this point I would say NO but if you are correct and he takes home another Heisman and another Nat Champ trophy then I would agree.
  20. aren't they in need of a QB? I thought they'd probably pick a QB but if history repeats itself then it will be a WR. I feel sorry for the poor soul who has to go to that organization--however the checks still cash the same.
  21. oops---look like it happened again!!!
  22. I'll agree with Chris that age does play a role. I was not a moderator either when Ryan was banned but I will tell you that Ryan was given several opportunities to come clean and admit that it was a lie and he wouldn't. He kept on with the lie while fellow members were raising money to send flowers to the hospital for his mother. I agree a lie is a lie but Ryan's was a very fabricated lie. A lie that sent several members to their knees praying for the life of his mother. IMO that is a big difference. Shorty--you have my forgiveness and I hope the lesson is learned. todd
  23. Kyle--thinking of you three!!! Glad all the news has been good so far! Tell Jen Hi. todd
