I would like to hear any opinions out there regarding the Stevens line of Savage Rifles. Please let me know what you rate Stevens from 1 (being lowest quality) to 10 (being highest quality). Thanks for your help.

Re: OH NO [ QUOTE ] and it dawned on me there a reason these guys get paid so much, [/ QUOTE ] That reminds me of a story about a guy who's pipe was making a loud noise when the water was running. He called a plumber to come and fix it. The plumber listened intently, then took out a hammer and gave the pipe a solid tap. The plumber told the guy, "That'll be a hundred bucks". The guy said that was outrageous to charge him a hundred bucks just to tap the pipe with a hammer. The plumber said, "It was $1 to tap the pipe with the hammer and $99 to know WHERE to tap the pipe".

Re: OH NO Also, take a hose and clean the screen on your outside unit especially if you have cottonwood trees nearby If there is not enough airflow, your unit gets hot and does not work right. Then you kick it.

Time for you to act again. ** HUNTER ALERT **
hogwild63 replied to Norm Sauceman's topic in Physically Challenged Sportsmen
Re: Time for you to act again. ** HUNTER ALERT ** Thanks guys. Since HHH helps with medical and funeral costs and he is with the VA, HHH could not help him defer medical expenses to free up funds for hunting so I referred him to DHNA. I was hoping Realree friends would rally. Good job!!! Norm, Let me know if I can help with DHNA! -
Re: At the range I was going to say that I had better results with Hunt 101 but I noticed they too were fuzzy. These pictures were taken with a 35 ml camera and developed on a CD. They look better on my 'puter but aren't really that bad. TBryan, that is a private range is south of Corsicana. I'll have to check which is the nearest town. It's on a ranch and at certain times of the day you have to wait for the cows to cross I am not a member of the range but my father-in-law is. You can shoot up to 500 meters. He was shooting a deer target at 100 meters. I have posted his 2nd deer picture in the Youth Hunting forum. Those pictures are fuzzy too but were taken with a digital and then emailed to me. Again, those look clear on my computer but somewhat fuzzy posted on the BB. Maybe it is the size of the download or something?

Here are some pictures of my son at the range with Grandpa about 2 years ago getting ready to go deer hunting. He was 9 years at the time and he's using a .243 and a 30-30. I'm checking out the Realtree Picture Post thingy. The pictures are kind of fuzzy. How can I make them clearer?

This is my son's 2nd deer. It's a four point taken late in the season. He wanted me to post it on RealTree. He is 10 years old. I also wanted to check out the RealTree picture thingy. [image][/image]

Re: Hunting trips offered to sick kids Thanks for posting this LifeNRA. It's good to see stories like this in print. I hope they continue to grow and surpass Make-a-Wish foundation. I had heard about them backing out due to pressure and it infuriated me. Sometimes you never know when your hardship will make a difference in others lives. She went to Make-a-Wish for her son and ended up making a difference in a whole lot of other lives. Kudos to the archery club for backing her and her org. And Kudos to Barbara Miller, too.

Re: Hey all...My update..Not too good. Norm, I am sorry to hear things are not going well. I have not been around and was hoping to see that you were doing well. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help with DHNA.

Re: Unnatural Gas! I know this is an old thread.. I know Christmas is over... but I could not find Raksie's "I'm bored" thread where he introduced us to blast billiards and I thought this was an... ahem...appropriate thread to put this on. Hope it works. http://www.mousebreaker.com/games/xmasblastbilliards/play.php

hogwild63 replied to IowaDeerHunter's topic in Lounge
Re: (please read) this is about a hunters dictionary cut and paste it to your word processor; won't get the green background, just the words though -
Re: What did Santa bring ya for Christmas.... I got some Realtree boxers and slippers. I love the slippers. I got a cool air rifle too. Also, I got the Best of Season 1 Realtree Roadtrips DVD from my son. What a great kid!

Re: North American Hunting Club [ QUOTE ] The magazine was ok at best and I was never sent anything to field test or won any of the prizes. All I really see in that club now are those at the top of their organization hunting some exotic places at the subscriber's expense. [/ QUOTE ] Couldn't that be said about Realtree? We buy there products, they get to go hunting. Do you own any Monster Buck videos? Bill ever ask you to go hunting with him? You have to actively request to be considered for field testing. It is not automatic...it should be. That has caused them some problems, possibly litigation.

Re: North American Hunting Club I am a Life Member. No real regrets, but if had to do it all over again, I would not have joined as a Life member. Having said that, the best benefit I have experienced as a member is not field testing products, the magazine (I happen to like the rag) or any trinkets, but meeting a bunch of great guys on their BB. Hunters Helping Hunters was originated by members of the BB. The members make the club, otherwise, it is anything but a club... The original concept was a club, but then it was sold...too bad.

Re: mossy oak or realtree? i am a mossy oak Ralph Cianciarulo...no kiddin', for real? I met you at the Bass Pro in Dallas. You signed an autograph for my son. Thank you for that. He usually talks alot but he was kind of awestruck to see one of the guys on the Realtree videos. I really like the Realtree camo. In reference to not being able to find certain clothes in Realtree pattern, I don't think that Realtree makes the clothes, just the pattern. Doesn't the clothes manufacturer makes the clothes and requests to use the pattern?

Re: Pepsi and under God?? Must read!! Beenman, You sure told them. It's a good thing you showed up, else us hics might still be waiting for those cans to hit the shelves. All fired up and no where to go to show our ignernce. I was all in a religious furvor 'til I read your post and set me straight. I'm going to have to check into this belief in freedom religion. Maybe then I will be intelligent enough to talk down to others who are into the internet rumors. God forbid..er...you think that by now these religious nuts would know to check out the all knowing, omniscient snoops web site. Man, you saved me. Ok, where's the nearest Dr Pepper plant? If you believe in nothing, then you will fall for anything.
