  15. Dear Donors, Volunteers and Supporters, Hunters Helping Hunters, Inc. has had a demanding but rewarding year in 2005. A newly elected board took on the challenge to lead HHH into a bright future. These driven individuals played a critical role in making 2005 HHH’s most successful year to date. HHH is run entirely by volunteers with minimal overhead, which makes efficient productivity of primary importance. In 2005 the Board of Directors under took several initiatives to improve overall effectiveness and efficiency by streamlining, simplifying and standardizing its processes. These initiatives include, upgrading accounting procedures to QuickBooks for Non-Profits, a new and improved web site, and the creation of Standard Operating Guidelines. 2005 was a year of record financial growth for HHH. HHH, Inc. Vice President of Fundraising and Media, Shelly Haley, put together a winning combination of Savage Arms Corporation and HHH to make the 2nd Annual Great Gun Giveaway a tremendous success. Board Member, Dan Baize, demonstrated unwavering dedication to the success of the Great Gun Giveaway by generating half of the tickets sales on his own. These efforts resulted in a significant increase in revenues from the 1st Annual Great Gun Giveaway. Vice President and Director of Assistance, Mike Bell, continues to enhance the processes under which HHH grants financial assistance to our recipients. Each Board Member contributes to the overall efforts for performance improvements by making the success of HHH a priority and volunteering time from their busy schedules. As always, 2005 demonstrated that the most important contributors to HHH are its donors, volunteers and supporters. The past year featured many generous donations, which are crucial to HHH’s continued success. In particular HHH appreciates the efforts of the following people and organizations: · Tom Knapp for promoting HHH at his shows throughout the nation and for introducing HHH to our newest corporate donors, the Elk River Lions Club. · Sage Creek Outfitters who put together a giveaway package that was auctioned on their forums for the benefit of HHH, as well as donating a muzzleloader to the Great Gun Giveaway. · Women Who Hunt for donating a muzzleloader to the Great Gun Giveaway for the 2nd year and promoting HHH on the web site in 2 different locations. · North American Hunting Club Life Member Mark Luce who donated several female Red Deer hunts on his Red Deer Hunt Preserve for auction on the NAHC Messaging Board. · North American Hunting Club Life Member Pat Gross who organized and managed several auctions on the NAHC Messaging Board. · All the North American Hunting Club members who donated and participated in the auctions benefiting HHH on the NAHC Messaging Board. · All the generous people who bought raffle tickets in our 2nd Annual Great Gun Giveaway. As a result of everyone’s tireless work and dedication to HHH in 2005, the operating income of HHH was increased by 621% over 2004. This is an especially impressive accomplishment because 2005 featured a great deal of competition for charitable contributions due to the natural disasters such as hurricane Katrina. The beneficiaries of these combined efforts continue to be hunters in need. To date HHH has awarded over $12,000 in assistance to hunters. This financial assistance has helped hunters that would potentially have to give up hunting due to financial pressures caused by a medical crisis or unexpected funeral expenses. It is my job to bring leadership and value to HHH through continued improvements in overall efficiency, effectiveness and productivity of HHH leadership in order to accomplish the mission statement set forth by the Founding Members of HHH. It is my responsibility that HHH will continue to enjoy further success. It is my intention to do in 2006 those things necessary to make Hunters Helping Hunters, Inc. the premiere charitable organization in the hunting industry. Thank you for your continued support. May you be blessed in return.

  18. Re: 6.5x55 That is my favorite gun and I took my largest buck with that gun. Mine was made in 1907. All the parts are original. I let my 10 year old son shoot it and his words were "SWEEET". My father-in-law reloads for me so I do not have the problem of finding factory loads.

  21. Re: I Won !!….So why do I feel guilty? Jeff, Congratulations!!! Please understand you made a donation to HHH and in return, you received a chance(s) at a rifle. This year, the rifles were not donated, next raffle we hope we can get each and every rifle "sponsored". The two muzzleloaders were donated by Sage Creek Outfitters and Women Who Hunt. We did however, negotiate a heck of a deal from Savage so the costs were minimized and allowed us to make money to assist hunters in need. Please, by all means keep it and let your grandson enjoy it. My son has taken 2 deer and an exotic ram with his grandfather's .243. On behalf of the Board of Directors, we appreciate your donation and would be honored if you would accept the gun.
  22. Re: Michael\'s Black Hawaiian Ram to put on the wal Thanks for the responses everyone. Michael sure enjoys reading them from the "Realtree" guys. I should have better pictures by Monday to post.
