I just picked up a Ruger M77 Mark II in 30.06 with a Bushnell Elite 3200 Firefly scope. This is my first centerfire rifle ever so I am very psyched!!!A local gun club is actually having a sighting in event next weekend, so I plan on taking out on Sunday.I'll be shooting Remington Core-Lokt 250 grain bullets to sight in. Any recommendations on a good hunting round? I was thinking maybe Winchester Silvertip or Accubond or maybe something from Hornady.Thoughts?

Has anyone ever tried the Lectra Sox battery heated socks? Are they effective or just a gimmick?

Okay! I get frustrated with this almost everytime I hunt. I usually have my rangefinder, grunt tube, and maybe binos around my neck. While I'm trying to be as quiet as possible, these items decided to bang together making all kinds of noise! Does anyone else experience this or do you keep these elsewhere; pockets, hooks, fanny pack?
