The traffic after the race is unreal so to beat it they used the helicopter. One person suffered a broken jar. Rumor was a piece of brake rotor hit them! Restrictor plate racing is intense, your going 190 on an engine with 400 horsepower that without the plate would be 800+. Without the plate speeds would exceed 220 MPH if not more and a little touch will send that car into barrel rolls if not into the air. The biggest fear is if a car was to barrel roll or get sideways such as Carl did, get touched by another car and toss over the fence. It could happen.

He is a good kid Kat from a racing family. Brad tells it like it is and is a racer. If all goes well, you will see him in the #5 of Hendrick Racing next year. His dad use to race a lot at Toledo Speedway and won a bunch of races there, he has to be floating on air now that his boy won at the biggest track of them all!!

Great race. We have raced with Brad here in Michigan and he is a good kid. Family of racers. Glad to see someone we raced with make it to the big leagues and win on the big stage! Way to go Brad! Scary indeed for the fans as debris went flying as car hit that retaining fence hard. This is why restrictor plates are needed, you have to slow down these cars, if not you would see them go over that fence with the speeds they would be going! Hope everyone is o.k and the only thing hurt is about 20+ race cars!

You use an allen wrench. Which I will supply. You loosen the one that holds the fiber optic, then on the side is another allen. You turn that and it moves the pin. When done, lock the allen screw that holds the fiber optic. Very easy. Guys get in trouble when they don't loosen the fiber optic screw.
