LOL, Congratulations Tom. -
Sorry to hear about your brother. Prayers are on the way.

Well I started my Insanity workout today by doing the fit test. If I am wore out by doing that, I can't imagine how I am going to feel when the actual workout starts . It feels good though. One thing I do need to do is get a better pair of shoes and a mat of some sort to put on the basement or garage floor.
-
Anyone have any phone app suggestions that help you track your workout/progress?

Attention Ohiobucks, You are a piece of work....

Hope you had a great birthday Tom! -
Good luck Corey. I"m going to be starting the Insanity workout soon, as soon as the DVDs get here. Can't wait to get started.

Another beautiful day outside. In the low 80s with a slight breeze to keep it comfortable.
-
Have had record highs here for the last week or so. Just checked one weather site and it says the average high for today, March 21, is around 45 degrees.....It is 85 degrees outside right now, beating what they have as a record high of 73 degrees!

Another beautiful day, around 78-79 degrees with a slight breeze.

While I absolutely LOVE this weather, I can't stand how hot my bedroom gets at night. I think I might have to put my air conditioner in my window in the next day or so. We have central air, but it has no affect on my room.

I think there were a few people that had them winning, and just about everyone had them in the final four (including me) Tough loss, that's why they call it March MADNESS -
Ameristep makes great blinds. I own 3 of them. I always said I would never buy a Double bull simple because they were overpriced. Now, they are down about $100 from what they used to be. Tom (Ohiobucks) paid a great price for his. If I were to get a new one it would probably one of those. I am using an Ameristep Intimidator and have had no problems with it. The brickhouse you mentioned is nice, but I prefer something along the lines of the double bull and Intimidator as far as windows go.

iPod is Apples mp3 player and iTunes is the software (from Apple) used to hold all of your media on your computer. It's pretty simple to use. You can rip all of your CD to it as I said previously and it stores it in your "Library." There is also an iTunes store where you can purchase music, movies, TV shows, apps and so on. If you just need it for 100 songs or so, I recommend an 8gb iPod nano. It is the smallest capacity Apple sells, and the nano is their least expensive iPod. You can get a new 8gb nano for around $120, but if you go to apple.com and go to their refurbished store, you can buy a refurbished one for around $99. Their refurbished products are top notch, I bought my Macbook Pro laptop from there and it was basically a brand new computer with no marks or anything on it. You will also get the same 1 year warranty with it as you would a brand new one. 8gb will hold well over 100 songs, but you never know when you might want more on there. I have an 8gb nano myself and it holds roughly 1500-1600 songs.

IMO nothing beats an iPod and iTunes. How much storage are you looking for? Do you want it to hold your entire library or do you just want to be able to throw a few playlists together before leaving the house? As for getting songs off your CD, its pretty simple with iTunes, open the program, put the CD in and it starts copying them right to your iTunes library.

Temp are supposed to be in the upper 60s to low 70s this week. It was pouring raing this evening, and might have more on the way Thursday. I really wish it wouldn't so the golf courses would dry up a bit.

I'm in :cool2: -
It's that time of year again. Don't forget to move the clocks forward an hour before you go to bed tonight.

Yep, happened my junior year in high school right before football practice. We were sitting around waiting for practice to start and I was sitting on a pile of blocking dummies, full pads, without my helmet. Next thing I know I am on the ground with everyone, including our line coach standing over me, was out for a couple seconds. Some senior thought it would be funny to get a running start and drill the few of us who were sitting there, the other couple guys saw it coming and jumped out of the way, I took a blind side hit from him going full speed. Had to sit out the rest of the week of practice and missed the game. He had to miss the game as well. Not really a good feeling.

Feeling like spring here to Shaun. Was really nice yesterday, in the mid 50s. Right now the temps say it is in the low 60s, but we have 20mph winds going through so that doesn't help. The forecast looks pretty good for the next week, other than a day of rain it should be really nice. I'm ready to get the clubs out and hit the golf course

Not sure what sites you're looking at. I've NEVER seen anything get deleted by anyone other than the original poster (except posts I have hidden on my own). And I have seen some messed up crap on there. Unless you are talking about posting something on someone elses page. That user can delete anyones messeges that are posted to their wall. Facebook doesn't delete anything, it's the user. Never seen this screen moving thing either. When I'm on there most new posts show up on the side ticker and then a bar shows up at the top that says there are new posts (same for both Twitter and Facebook)

Seems like we've had more traffic on this site lately.

Good to see it picking up a bit. Hopefully the new people will stick around a bit. I have tried to post more in the past couple weeks. Lately I would come in a couple times a day but hardly ever post when I did visit. Would like to try and post more and get this place going again. I know what you mean William. I probably looked at this thread 2-3 times before I posted, and will probably look at it a few more times before it gets buried. -
What is the meaning of your user name?

I live in Michigan, and when I joined bow season had just started up and I was shooting a Mathews SQ2 at the time, so I went with Michiganbowhunter_SQ2. Have had a couple different bows since then, just never really cared to change the name though. -
I prefer the iPhone. I am on my second one (had a 3gs, upgraded to the 4s when it came out last fall). Better hardware and IMO better software as well. I know too many people who have android phones, most of them sit there and claim that their phone and OS are better than the iPhone and iOS, yet they all constantly complain about them. iPhone looks better (IMO) software is easier to use, and there are a LOT more apps available for it.

This is a tough one. While I love bowhunting, I have very little access to any land to hunt during bow season. When gun season comes around I get a full week in. I agree that getting the deer close usually makes bowhunting more exciting, but for me in at our camp in the U.P. that we hunt for that week during gun season, most shots are going to be within 30 yards no matter what weapon you use. I use a muzzleloader with open sight and took one deer at around 50-60 yards with it, since then I started hunting the thicker areas of the woods and have taken 4 other deer, none farther than 30 yards. I'm going to say gun hunting I guess, just for the fact that we plan an annual trip around that season every year. But it is just like the hunting/fishing thread, I love to do both and it's hard to pick just one.
