  1. As far as I know Steve. Even on the guns with removable chokes you should not try to push a Waterfowl (Steel or Non-Toxic) through a full choke. I find that on every shotgun I've ever owned patterns steel and non-toxic as if it has been shot through a choke at least a step tighter. IE. Modified patterns like Full and IC patterns like a modified. I've experienced extra full performance from from some of the non-toxic stuff through a modified choke. I'd worry about a fixed full choke and waterfowl loads. Maybe I'm overly cautious but personally I wouldn't risk it.

  3. Was the country called France because of the language they speak there? She's heard of Turkey. But I wonder if she knows if Russia attacked Turkey from behind, if Greece would help?

  6. It also depends on the size of the animal. The 55F mark is a tricky one. Size is definitely more important at that temperature. The colder it is the longer the animal will last and the less important size is. The 55F mark is that mark where if the game cools quickly enough to that temperature it will last quite a long time but it may not be cold enough for the animal to cool fast enough to last a long time. If it's gonna be below 50F for the night I'll feel alot better about leaving one over night. A small deer can make it all night at that temp and not spoil. IE. Anything under 120lbs. At that temp, when you get over the 120lbs mark (LIVE WEIGHT). The bigger the animal, the faster the animal will spoil. Big animals just don't loose heat quick enough.

13yrs living in the great lakes region of Canada. Strange how I don't miss the snow. Seriously, I really don't miss it.
  9. An LTL (Less Than a Truckload) deal is what you are looking for with freight companies. If where you work ships out any product via 18 Wheeler. Talk to you shipping agent and find out who they use. They can probably even give you names and contact numbers. Fed Ex does do some LTL work so they aren't out of the picture either. Sometimes they are actually the same price or less than commercial freight LTL shippers. For LTL stuff it's best to get quotes based on the timing you want the stuff. Depending what route their trucks are taking and how many stops will affect price.

    My Weatherby story

You misunderstand. I believe Randy is a great guy now. I really do. It took tremendous courage to tell that story about himself. It just seems to me, he's really not sure if he's made up for his past. That's what I get from his story anyhow. Perhaps, I didn't understand that.

    My Weatherby story

Ask anyone who knew you back then, "Am I still a jerk?" Only then will you know truly how far you've come. Your story is just part of the healing. If you're offended by this, you're not ready. If it scares you, you are.

    Saunders Buzz Off

Personally, I like the STS just fine. The draw backs I immediately notice on the Saunders system are this. It may be right where you want to install a kisser. It will not work with a Muzzy Zero Effect rest. Adding weight to the cable slide will result in a speed loss.

    Best glue?

Glass to plastic is a tough bond to accomplish depending on the plastic. If the plastic you are trying to bond is polypropylene based pretty much every consumer adhesive you try will be doomed to eventual failure. That's the toughest plastic to bond to I'm aware of. Urethane based glues in my experience are totally ineffective on some kinds of plastic. Gorilla glue is urethane based. So it might be a total bomb for you. Superglues are still your best bet but stick with the gel types. And do not use accelerators or wet the surfaces! A quick touch with a cigarette lighter flame to the plastic where you want to apply the glue makes a huge difference. You don't need to melt the plastic, literally one second in the flame is all it takes. Touch the area with the flame for a count of ONE and you are done. It's a goofy trick that really helps (believe it or not there is actual real science behind this.)

I wish! I saw THOUSANDS of them in Arkansas just a couple weeks ago. ZERO, came into gun range. Those things drive me nuts!

    ATA

A 7" brace height is absolutely as small as I can stand with a 31" draw. Also considering my draw length. A bow with an ATA less then my draw has always been a challenge to shoot for me. Perhaps some PSE magic would make this bow work for me. I don't know. I'd sure have to try before I buy. That's a guarantee!
  17. You're talking less than +/- 0.5% spread on a projected mean. If you got that on your total arrow weights, YOU ARE DOING GOOD! Frankly, some field points or broadheads have a bigger spread than that, and are just fine. I wouldn't loose any sleep over a 100gr head that actually weighed 101grs and that's 1% difference. Double what you're claiming you got for totals. Seriously, no throw aways there IMHO. You got some good stuff.

    draw length?

I shoot a 31" draw with a string loop. I'm capable of shooting longer but that's comfortable to me. I'm 6' 5" and my wing span is 80" It's hard to stay drawn against the "wall" if you are all out of pull. You're better off to have a little pull left at full draw than use it all up every time you draw the bow back. Guys who have a real tough time from keeping their release hand from creeping forward when at full draw a long time, often have their draw lengths a little too long. IMO, too short is easier to deal with than too long.

    Heath Ledger

Folks, If you get nothing else out of this thread, please heed the following warning. And trust me. I'm speaking from PERSONAL experience here. I have flat been through the wringer on prescription drugs because of my injuries. If you are taking ANY combination of prescription drugs (especially crucial if these prescriptions are from different doctors) make sure you understand the possible side effects and long term effects of each medication. Sometimes you can be taking multiple meds for the sole purpose of combating the side effects of another med. The result is you are taking far more meds than you need to. Make certain you understand which medications are OFF LIMITS when you are taking a certain med. Surprisingly, some prescription meds make taking certain non-prescription meds and "supplements" very dangerous. Sometimes the non-script stuff completely negates the desired effect of the script. One example is several high blood pressure medications are rendered completely ineffective by AFRIN. If you neglect to tell the doctor about AFRIN he just ups your script dosage. This is not good. Another example, alcohol is a major no-no with most sleep aids. It doesn't make them work better, typically it causes the opposite effect. This is a prescription trap. It's far more common than most folks realize.

    Heath Ledger

Pain Killers + Sleep Aids = BAD NEWS Many sleep aids affect short term memory. So he could have forgotten he'd already taken the Pain Killers. Most Pain Killers have reduced effect the more you take them. So he probably felt like he needed to take more as well. He was taking Oxy Contin which is notoriously addictive. It is absolutely possible he had no idea what he was doing.
