Re: What to do?? tough SC birds... Birds disappearing to me always says they moved with the ens to a new food source. For that what you need to do is cruise some roads & check the fields, they are around somewhere, and they have to eat. For henned up birds, 007 has it right, late morning the hens slip away to their nests, so the gobblers get a bit lonely. THis also takes place as the season wears on & the hens start sitting nests. Then the Toms start wandering around looking for company. Don't give up on your spots, the birds will probably move back there eventually, but for now you need to move where ever they did..

Re: Immigration Debate My opinion is that no-one who is here should be blindly handed immunity. I 100% aggree with tightening down the borders, and setting quotas for the amount of people who are allowed to legally immigrate here every year. The arguement that they are doing jobs that Americans don't want to do, though valid, is our own fault. Why would someone want to work for $7.00 an hr, when they can get the same $7.00 an hr mailed to them once a month for doing nothing!!! To me they are seperate issues that need to be addressed. Also, I do not appreciate being labled raceist because I feel we should seal the borders. We are very very lucky to be born & live here, but that does not mean we owe it to whoever wants to come, to have a free ride.. I'm sorry, but there are legal means for people to come here and contribute.

Re: What Calls do you Carry Wow.. You guys are crazy!!!! The big question should be, How many calls do you actually USE consistantly?

Re: Getting a commuter car. If had to drive further then 6 miles to work, I would definately get a smaller car. I think the nice thing about adding the "second" vehicle, is you don't have to be as pickey, or spend as much. Since it is a car that you will be driving primarily to keep miles off your other one, and get better milage, you don't need your "dream" vehicle..

Re: New hunting lease!!! pic Did you lease that through the paper company? That's the way I would go if I needed some land. Nice to have your cabin so close. What lake is that??

Just don't let anyone see you practice this....":Another method is to keep your lips RELAXED, blow, and shake your head violently back and forth. Just don't let anyone see you practice this.... " This is how I do it.. its sounds good from a bit away, but he is 100% correct, don't let people see you doing this, they laugh pretty hard..

Re: Bowhunting Birds Without A Blind..... I think it is an awesome idea.. They'll still see movement, but what a great way to break-up an outline!! -
Re: Rocket Hammerhead ? I shot them last year, Very accurate. I'll use them again when I bow hunt. I slid my rubber band down, so they opened easier/quicker. Make sure to use the adaptor rings also..

Re: Loopin\' After I posted,I thought that a lot of people might not know what they are. A Looper is a strain of Rainbow that was stocked in Superior from Kamloops British Columbia. They run in the spring and fall. Nice big fish. They are built like footballs, and the ones we catch run in the 4-7lb range.. With light tackle it's a blast. I'll post pictures next week..

Re: A few hunting Pics I love the first light pictures. I think that is the greatest time of the day. Spending a sunrise in the field/swamp/stand is unforgettable..

Re: Turkey with a BOW anyone? I tried last year for the first time with a bow, no blind. I ended up shooting a bird a 9 paces, help right on the wing root. Wham, he went down, got up, hobbled away, I never found him. Rocket expandable, 1 3/4 in cut. Blood & feathers everywhere where I hit him. Looked for about 4 hours, even brought my springer out there. Nothing.. I was sick, all I can figure is that I shot a little bit high. Good Luck!!

Re: I have a new toy I work for the cable company, and one of the great perks is the free services. The DVR's are great, and the Dual tuner DVR is even better!!! You can watch one show and tape another at the same time!!

Re: Nasty ear infection Ear infections are so bad in kids, because they hurt more when they lie down.. My son get them, and it really seems to help him if he lays on a heating pad for a while, seems to help get some of the "gunk" out & relieve some pressure. Hope he getsbetter soon..

Anyone here shoot a 20 gauge for turkeys? I am thinking about carrying one this spring, but, I also know that as soon as I do, I'll have a bird lock up at 45 yards. Just curious who carries one & what kind of range you have shot birds at. Thanks

Re: Remington changes for 2006 Question for ya AJ.. I have been waiting for the 105, semiauot to come out, any ideas when it'll start showing up in stores, and any idea of the price range? Also, for the Premier OU- Will that fit into the top end ($1000+) guns, or will it fall into that liddle ground with the Verona?
