I shoot a 270, why hasn't anyone mentioned Browning A Bolts? I love mine.. The reason I picked it was they were the first ones with a detachable box magazine. I love having that option, I know that Remington & Winchester have it now also..

I live in Minnesota & hunt whitetail in the northern part of the state.. I have begun to think it's time to add a new rifle to the safe. I really have begun to fall in love with the Marlin & Browning Lever action Rifles. I am thinking about getting something in the .30 - .33 cal range.. Does anyone have one of these, besides a 30-30? Just looking for input on guns/calibers?

I have a 270 A-Bolt, also with an Elite 3200 scope.. Mine shot Winchester 130 gr power points noticably better the Remingtons.. Last year I bought Federal Fusion 150 grains & they shoot AWESOME. The ballistics are a bit better then the Winchesters, without paying the premium bullet costs..

I was invited to an end of the year pheasant shoot at a game farm. The last weekend they are open they need to get rid of all of their remaining pheasants. The lakes are fozen, so they invited out about 15-20 guys, The owner of the place put us in a circle around a small island. They had the phesants in a cage on the island. They just started throwing birds in the air, a couple at a time, 225+ birds! The shooting lasted about 35 minutes.

He is very well spoken.. I am glad she is taking a beating, I would HATE to have her be the president, BUT..... He scares the bejeepers out of me..

Has anyone ever read the book "Dereliction of Duty" - it is about Bills time in office and how badly the military was treated. Things like, if one of the Clintons was walking in the whitehouse, people in uniform had to exit the hallway. They didn't want uniforms in the whitehouse.. The book will get your blood boiling!

Congrats, it's a LOT of fun, which outfitter did he book with? Hopefully you will have access to some fishing while you are there.. They have gotten pretty tight on the qty you can bring back, but the fishing is great!

So Bush has annouced the idea of a Economic Stimulus plan, that based on the little info he gave out, sounds like a "Rebate" check to each worker for $800ish.. Another bandaid fix attempt, that we will all end up paying more for in a couple years.. That said, IF you get a check as proposed, will you go out & spend it as he wants you to? Mine is going directly to the bank!

It really stinks to miss a slam dunk, especially on a deer like that. One bright side is at least you know it didn't die in a swamp somewhere.. One other piece of good news, looks like one one of the photo's you have another nice deer to hunt next year.. Do you know if that one made it through the season?

There is obviously a LONG way to go, but his approval rating keep going up & up. I think he is saying things honestly & say things all other polititians are scared to say. That question was asked for 1 reason, to get him to defend his beliefs in a public forum. He is an ordained minister, based on that fact alone, there is no doubt he believes in creation. Ask that same question to any of the candidates & someone will be offended. I think at the beginning of the answer, he made a great point, " It's interesting that this be asked of someone running for president" I like what he is saying as an overall message..
