  1. Refresh it with some more minerals and it might turn into a nice little honey hole this Fall.
  2. I've always dreamed of going. Just remember, there's no such thing as too many pictures.
  3. Yep, good snag. I've got a Minn Kota on the front of my boat and love it.
  4. Post some close up pics of it and we'll try to diagnose the problem...
  5. Do you have any more in stock? I might want to buy some.
  6. I've seen two in West Texas and several of the guys I hunt with have seen one, but I've never referred to them as chupacabras (goat suckers if you translate from the Spanish). We always called them cat-dogs since they had both canine and feline features. Personally I think they're either a mangy coatimundi or maybe a messed up coyote. Whatever they are, they're just another animal. Nothing mysterious about them other than the fact they're very rare. The last one I saw was about 3 or 4 years ago before the big wind turbines went up on the ranch. Nothing since then.
  7. Yep, killed that one dead. Good shootin' little lady!
  8. Don't own one personally, but I think they're like Bushnell - they have both low end and high end scopes, depending on how much you want to pay. I haven't heard any real negatives on them.
  9. Don't know about your area, but here it's legal to own and use suppressed (silencer) air rifles. They're super quiet.
  10. True dat. I've got a pair of Swaro's and a pair of Zeiss, and I actually like the Zeiss a little bit better. But I suspect that as a group, the Swaro's are typically better glass.
  11. Can't tell you the name (sandpiper sounds good to me), but I see a lot of them around here. They're usually around water, but I've never seen one get wet.
  12. They're a little cheaper down here. I routinely find new ones for $350, used in good condition go for $300. Heck, I can get a new Weatherby for $399.
  13. Out of those listed I'd choose the Nikons, but....if you'll take your time and shop around, you can find a pair of Steiners on sale for the same price as the Nikons. I've ordered several items including some Zeiss binos and a Zeiss scope from the guys at CameralandNY.com. They have by far the best all around prices and are great people to deal with.
  14. Didn't see the show, but think about this. How big was the ranch he was hunting? On the ranch I hunt, it's 5 miles from one side to the other. Depending on my location and aiming direction, I can safely take uphill shots, even with my 7 mag, and not worry about the round leaving the property.
  15. Or the president could just be an incompetent boob that couldn't pour pee out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heel.
  16. $250 or so would be my guess on value. BTW - I've got a Taurus 357 (different model) and it shoots very well.
  17. Planning on riding ol' Dobbins to the bar?
  18. I'll be there in spirit. Looking forward to the pics.
  19. Getting fired. No, seriously. My boss (the CEO) walked into my office last Friday right after lunch and said "You're fired. Let's go fishing." I get fired a lot during deer season too...
  20. It's usually too dry here in July, but this year we've had a bunch of rain from the hurricane, so it's bombs away come Sunday night!
  21. I thought the next step was to become a rumor in your own mind.
  22. Hair of the dog - Nazareth Here's one for your guitar players. Try pickin' this one out sometime... Got out of town on a boat goin' to southern islands, Sailing a reach before a followin' sea. She was makin' for the trades on the outside, And the downhill run to Papeete Bay. Off the wind on this heading lie the Marquesas. We got eighty feet of the waterline Nicely making way. In a noisy bar in Avalon I tried to call you, But on a midnight watch I realized why twice you ran away.
