  1. A few years back, a guy here in Montana shot a llama thinking it was an elk or mule deer. He even gutted it out and tried to check it through a game check station. some people are idiots.

    Great News!!

you will get in way less trouble bowhunting than you will in vegas lol. have fun!
  3. I would suspect copper fouling too if it has just all of the sudden started this year. If i were you, i would clean it really well and go out and see if that helped.
  4. never used them but seems like they should work fine on whitetail. Maybe try the Federal Fusions. I believe they are made for the 270 WSM. All I have ever heard is they are accurate as can be. My girlfriend and I shoot them out of our 270 win's and I love them. Mine will shoot 3 touching.
  5. AMAZING! Congrats! I can only hope to see something that big someday
  6. congrats! glad to see the younger guys getting out and being successful and carrying on the tradition.
  7. wish you would have put this up last year. I bought mine which is like the one on the far right for around $95 i think. dang

    2 deer one month

i havent hit any in about a year and a half (knock on wood.) almost hit a nontypical spike mulie buck night before last. But about a year and a half ago, i was trying to sell my 2002 f-150. never hit a deer with it. i finally found a truck to buy and was goin to trade my ford in on the dodge i have now. I told the dealer i would take the truck and i would pick it up on monday and bring him my ford. I was drivin home the saturday night before that monday and just as i was getting to the outskirts of Choteau I hit two deer at once! One ran in front of me and i hit it with the passenger side front bumper and ran completely over it. About half a second after i hit the first one, another one ran right into the drivers side of my box. I turned around and went back because i was expecting to have to drag a deer off the road from running it over. But when i got back to where i hit them, they were already standing on the other side of the road across the fence! All that happened to my truck was a little tiny crack in my drivers side tail light and a little hair stuck in it! I couldnt believe it. I just knew they destroyed my truck right before i was about to trade it in.
  9. I know! Thats his parents fault though for letting him get hooked on that. The kid is probably 18 years old now. His parents begged to borrow an extension cord or he will not go to sleep.

    My 09 Buck

did you mean to shoot him in the eye? congrats on the buck anyhow!
  11. well since i dont have any kids ill tell you about one my moms friends kids. They were going through choteau and stopped and stayed the night at our house. Well about bed time one of their kids wouldnt go to sleep. His dad had to ask my dad if they could borrow an extension cord for his kid to sleep with. Yeah, thats right. The kids safety "blanket" was an extension cord. Sounds safe doesnt it?
  12. I was reading about this new cartridge in my mag last night and saw a show on tv about it. Sounds like an amazing little deer round once Hornady comes out with the 139 gr SST for it. As of now its loaded with 120gr and 140gr Hornady A-Max bullets at around 2900fps and 2750fps. It was dedicated as a long range round based off of the 30TC. Its a little bit shorter than the 260 Rem.

  14. Salt water isnt even good for boats, much less a $1m car lol. He should have just hit the pelican. Would have cost less to fix. And stupid drivers, stop worryin about the stupid phones.....
  15. It goes by your number of posts. Thats about as far as i can tell ya. I dont remember how many it takes to get some horns! Some one will help out more here.
  16. Mine has always been Caribou up north or Whitetail/Mulie in Alberta or Sask. Similar to Whitetailtrax. And like he said, if anyone has questions about MT, dont hesitate to contact me either.
  17. its just one of those days today. Just saw my grade for my math test that i took last week and i did worse than horrible. Not sure if im goin to pass that class. I studied for days for that test. Have two more tests this week plus a ton of homework due and work on top of it all. Just feeling really run down. Hard to get motivated to do anything right now.
  18. Ive been thinking about getting a .243 for deer also. We sell 80 and 100 gr federal blue box ammo, same grains in corelokts, 85 gr federal premium triple shocks, and hornady light mag ammo. I would use any of the 100 grain ammo, or the triple shocks. Cant beat the triple shocks.
  19. NEVER TAKE CANDY FROM A STRANGER! Sorry i just had to say it! I hope everything turns out for you. I know a girl very close to me that is goin has gone through and is still goin through that kind of a situation. Hers was taken way further though. It just kills me and people like that should be given the death penalty as far as im concerned...JMHO
  20. whether its a trick or not, you will still enjoy the time together. Even if its only for an hour or so before she pushes you out! lol. Have fun!
  21. I was skinning my girlfriends buck and when i was skinning out one of the front legs i hit something hard and puss exploded everywhere. Nastiest thing i have ever smelled in my life. I almost puked.
  22. I use either my 4 wheeler if im on private land and have permission, or drive to it with the pickup if i have permission. If its on public land where vehicles arent permitted, I either get help to drag it out or call my grandpa to come with the horses.
  23. My Dad, brothers, and I give all of our deer to one of my dads friends. All he eats is venison. All we eat is beef and elk. I had a whole doe made into jerky last year without figuring out how much it would cost me and it was a huge doe. Luckily the butchers are good people and gave me a deal and i only had to pay 1/2 of what it would have cost me. I think it ended up still costing me $70 or $80 for the jerky! My dad went in half with me though so he could keep some jerky so it wasnt too bad. We occasionally get some venison from my dads friend. So really all we have to do is shoot the deer, call him up, bring it to his house, help him skin it, and be done with it. Getting elk butchered is a whole other story
