  1. Re: Exploding Carbon Arrow...switch back to aluminum? Sorry about your uncle,, something like that can effect anyone hard. I myself have always stuck to aluminum. No complaints,,
  2. Re: I\'m looking to buy a new deer gun. Any suggestions Remington 30-06,, it's a keeper,,
  3. Re: new member here welcome to the forums bass master!!! This is definitely the best place to exchange ideas as well as pick up a few new ones.. bunch of cool people here...
  4. Did you shoot it? how did it feel,, sounds like a good deal,, but you gotta try it out first,,
  5. Re: accident in archery class!!! Nothing funny there, thank God he wasn''t hurt,, but I would have went Drill Sargeant out of **** on the entire class.
  6. Re: Alpine Archery Customer Service Going to take a closer look at Legacy this weekend,,

    Camo

Re: Camo Welcome to the forums!! It all depends on the temperature during your season. Bow sean for me can be between okay warm to frezzing cold, so I keep a fleece and nylon mask. It definitely helps. I use to carry a fanny pack, but I tried a backpack, never went back. I can carry alot more easier, when I get to my spot, I just use it as a pillow or put it aside..
  9. Re: NY Hunters---> 10% true, 90% duh what?!!! Author obviously not a deer hunter,, probably got most of his research from watching TV,, Thanks for the giggle !!!
  10. Re: Fat Lady is Asingin\' lol Pretty much like my closing day, without the venison stake and eggs. But I had a great time, deer or no deer. I'm really lookign forward to next year, found me a sweet spot on public land about 45 mins from my house.. Beats driving 3 hours. After a day of bowhunting I come home a new man,, I love this sport!! Come on bow season!!!!
  11. Re: READ THIS STORY!!! (POACHERS) Sucks, big time. Like we as legal deer hunters don't have enougth to deal with, these idiots play "hunter" and make it worse. Jail time,, no parole !!! And I mean at least 5 years,,
  12. Re: ok ya\'ll...I\'m askin again Muzzy 125gr 4 blade/60#/Easton 2314 no complaints,,
  13. Re: any NY BOWHUNTERS? Friend of mine, his mom has a nice patch. Same thing, deer would come in at night, nxt mornign it would look like a 4 wheeler drove through. She didn't like a fence look, so she hung rows of nylon rope around patch, tied a small open bag of mothballs every couple of feet or so, seems to have worked,, but you have to keep refilling mothballs..
  14. Re: Look what my 8 yr old got... Two thumbs Up man!! I see plenty of good times between you and your son, give him a good strong handshake for me!!!
  15. Re: Copper John sigts vs. Trophy Ridge your thoughts I have both the TR and CJ,, ease of adjusting the TR is great, but CJ not that harder, between the two. I lean toward CJ only because of better site guard.

    practice?

Re: practice? [ QUOTE ] It is a whole different ballgame when you get up in a tree stand, ... [/ QUOTE ] I agree,, makes a huge difference to me. One tree I use is located on a steep downhill.

    im furious!

Re: im furious! Same thing happens by me alot. State Trooopers will not put down a severely injured animal. They usually call local game wardens.
  18. Re: More on NY Season Changes I agree with Doc, it's more like a slap in the face. But I'm willing to give it a chance. I hunt rifle ans shotgun, but nothing beats a good bowhunt.
  19. Re: Are Benelli\'s good for the money? Funny you should mention Benelli, I was at the local Dicks Sporting Goods staore a few weekends ago, decided to check out the Benelli, with the HD camo,, I honestly didn't like the feel,, it was like I was holding a heavy toy, Mosseberg much nicer, saving my spare change for that one.. just my 2 cents..
  20. Re: Cougar-killed muley buck (photos) cool pics,, never seen anything like that,,no big cats in NJ.. nice buck,, pity,,

    nj hunters

Re: nj hunters Saw three HUGE bucks (Zone 3), but to far in brush to get a shot,, but it was so cool seeing them. But scored a nice size doe. This is first time I hunted there, have to make it a point to go back next season, do some early scouting as well.
  22. Re: Local bow shops I guess I've been lucky. I never had any problems with the only 2 local bow shops to me. I've seen people take in all sorts of bows, they serviced them no problem. No sales pressure either. See something you like, ask questions if any and that's it.
  23. Re: Merry Christmas Merry Christmas to you 2!! Drive safely,,
  24. Re: new jersey bowhunters Gonna try making a run to Zone 3, (Milburn area), I missed regular bow,, see if I can hold out int he cold
  25. Re: Caring for clothes in the off season? [ QUOTE ] I wash them in Scent-A-Way detergent, dry them with Scent-A-Way Dryer Sheets and then store them in different Rubbermaid Totes (one for pants, one for coats, one for insulated, one for my hats, gloves, etc., one the backpacks and turkey vests and one for blaze orange....! [/ QUOTE ] Same exact thing here,, come early fall, I gather some trimmings from a pine tree, stick them in a mesh bag and throw it into the tote sort of like a booster,, works great,, Keey my stuff in garage,,
