Tough deal,, has she ever seen deer ? To me, just seeing deer makes the day, scroing is a plus. It all depends on the child. See how she reacts to talk about patience, the odds of a perfect shot. Perhaps you can hunt both spots. Again talk to her, see how she reacts. Some kids get to excited and missing, though common for us, would be a huge letdown.. Good luck,, its' always cool to take a young one hunting.. Ray

Re: Bowtech Samson My Golden Eagle got to heavy for me, so after weeks of traveling from one pro shop to another, shooting about a couple dozen bows, I picked the Bowtech Patriot VFT, sweet, fast and quiet. I'm still setting it up,, but the few times I shot, it is a definite improvement over my Golden Eagle,, the Liberty was also nice,, good luck !!

Something similar happened to a friend of mine. I once read if you loose the blood trail, start search from point of impact and start walking in a spriral from last spot you saw blood. You already have a good idea of where he was last, so start from there,, good luck!!

I went scouting this weekend, just scouting, bowseason doesn't start here until Oct 15th (grrrrrr). After looking around, I climbed up my tree stand just to relax. Suddenly I see something coming up the tall grass about 30/40 yards from the stand. I grabbed my binocs,, saw a huge body, but could not make out the gender. It was cool just seeing it. When I reached into my backpack to grab my binocs, I saw I had my box call with me. Just for kicks, I started to let out some soft turkey clucks,, next thing you know, the deer turned and headed right to me. It came about 20 yards,, only a 4 ptr, but a huge body. I just thought I'd share that, see if anybody else ever tried this..
