  1. Re: Deer Contest Winners Congrats to all the winners! Thanks Need2hunt for putting it all together...another fine job this year!
  2. Re: Finally...an AR that makes sense. That does sound good.I also like the fact that you can take one buck that doesn't meet the criteria for those that can't get out a lot or have a hear time judging.
  3. Re: \"Treestandbowhunter offical 2006/7 NHL thread\" [ QUOTE ] I'm not sure what to make of these trades [/ QUOTE ] I think you guys got the shaft in the Boyes/Wideman deal.Wideman has been a healthy scrath for about 15 games this season if that tells you anything.
  4. Re: \"Treestandbowhunter offical 2006/7 NHL thread\" Yea,just read that.Wideman never really was that great, and was even benched a few games so it looks like they did alright by getting a guy from Boston that can get a few points. It's aggrivating because they're dumping their best players for draft picks, and the Blues are horrible at drafting. They took Erik Johnson first overall last year, and he might be playing college hockey for another year now.If they would've taken Jordan Staal they would have been set with a guy ready for the NHL and someone to score a few goals. All I hear is the Blues are building for the future, but I'm ready for them to start winning now....and so is the city.If it takes them 4 or 5 more years to make it to the playoff, they may be in real trouble. They are having a really hard time drawing crowds, and with rest of the season looking bad they'll have a hard time making any kind of money this year.
  5. Re: \"Treestandbowhunter offical 2006/7 NHL thread\" Just read the Blues sent Bill Guerrin to San Jose, definately a good move on the Sharks part.Well, I guess the Blues season is pretty much over since they traded their two best goal scorers.
  6. Re: Empty seats..tons of \'em I believe your right Nick.I think NASCAR is past it's prime and overall attendance will probably go down at a few tracks. It's just not what it used to be IMO.I can't hardly watch a whole race on t.v. anymore, and would probably only pay to watch a race at a handful of tracks.
  7. Re: \"Treestandbowhunter offical 2006/7 NHL thread\" Well, the Blues traded Keith Tkachuck to Atlanta for Glen Metropolit and some draft picks.I've never really heard much about the Metropolit guy,and the Blues generally draft crappy so it seems like a pretty weak move, but they're cutting pay roll,so the rest of the season should be pretty pitifull. They lost to the Blackhawks yesterday 5-1,just a sign of things to come.
  8. Re: What made you want to start deer hunting? I wanted to be like Dad.He started bow hunting when I was pretty little, and bought me a little compound when I was about 9 or 10 and we would shoot together in the back yard.He would take me to the bow shop and to the woods to show me where his stands where and I just couldn't get enough of it.I started getting some shotgun experience when I was about 12 hunting rabbits, and when I was 14 my Grandpa and dad started taking me deer hunting with them.Dad passed away in 2000 and Grandpas 80 now,but still goes deer hunting and enjoys it just as much as he did when he started. No way I'll ever give it up,and I hope my kids enjoy it as much as I do when they get a little older.
  9. Re: A Little Depressed Today Sorry to hear that Chris. My thoughts are with your family.

  12. Re: \"Treestandbowhunter offical 2006/7 NHL thread\" Where can I see the fight?!I read about it this morning, but all I can find on the net is the hit on Drury.
  13. Re: \"Treestandbowhunter offical 2006/7 NHL thread\" Saw part of the Buffaloe-Philly game last night.Umberger and Campbell still seem to have a little bad blood boiling over from the playoff hit on Umberger that knocked him out last year.Philly won 6-3. The Blues beat Columbus in a shootout, but it was another game that wasn't televised.I'm afraid it's too little too late for my Blue notes, but they are playing well, and have won 4 in a row now.

  19. Re: \"Treestandbowhunter offical 2006/7 NHL thread\" [ QUOTE ] Did you see hordichuk and King square off. There's two Saskatchewan boys who can chuck the knucks. [/ QUOTE ] Oh Yea!They showed D.J. knuckles, and them things just don't get enough to heel up.Coach Murray actually said he plans on playing him a little more. He's in geat shape and is one of the hardest working guys on practice day. No doubt Guerrin is on the trading block...along with Thachuck and Manny Legacy.I would like to see the team stay together and see what they can do next year, but no way that will happen.
  20. Re: Happy Birthday Turkeygirl Happy birthday TG!
  21. Re: \"Treestandbowhunter offical 2006/7 NHL thread\" Blues beat the Preds last night 1-0 in a pretty entertaining game.Billy Guerrin scored the loan goal which was a beauty. This guy has been on a roll this season, and no doubt the Blues best player.
  22. Re: Anybody ever break their wrist?? Well,I went to my doctor yesterday afternoon and the lady that does the x-rays in his office was gone,so he sent me to the hospital for them. They didn't see any fractures so they're calling it spraigned.I've had spraigned ankles before, but they didn't hurt this bad. It's still swollen and slightly bruised,so I guess I'll give it a few days and see if it improves at all.Looks like I won't be shooting DART League this week.
  23. I hurt my wrist this morning and it hasn't gotten any better.I slipped on the ice and my wrist curled forward and has been killing me ever since. It's fairly swollen from the bottom of my thumb all the way across the back, and I cant touch my pinky and thumb together,or hardly hold anything in it.I hate to go to the e.r. for x-rays if it's just a spraign.
