It's not unusual at all for bucks to start shedding already.We've found fresh sheds around Christmas on our places.That's what kinda sucks about having the antlerless season so late,he looks like he would have had a nice rack about two weeks ago. Glad you guys had some luck,I had a left over muzzleloader tag,but since the weather was so bad here I didn't get a chance to get out.

I am a Junior fan,I'm one of those guys that migrated over after Senior was gone.I'm with Chrud-JR. would sign with RCR pretty quickly.I think he's still a few years away from winning a cup championship. I doubt that JR. leaving would cause DEI to shut it's doors,even if Bud left with him.Look how many other teams are still thriving that don't have JR. driving for them.Most top cup teams don't seem to have a problem finding sponsors,and I don't think DEI would have much of a problem. JR. and Theresa never seemed to get along all that well when SR. was alive,so I kinda figured he would leave eventually.No doubt it's a pretty tough situation for both of them.We'll have to wait and see.

Re: Not what you like to see. I agree with what Horst said.Maybe it had an infection or it took too long to find after it was shot,and the meat was bad.That would be my best guess.

Re: \"Treestandbowhunter offical 2006/7 NHL thread\" The Blues beat the Devils last night.Their still at the bottom of the standings,but are only 9 points from the eighth playoff spot,and if they keep it up they might have a chance.I think they only have 2 regulation losses in the last 11 games,so things are looking up.

Re: Walmart Hunting Stuff Buys Our Wal-Marts were sold out of most stuff early.It seemed like they had less on the shelves this year,and most stuff was gone by the end of Novemeber,and I guess they don't re-order...once it's gone that's it for the year.

Re: Team 1 Nothing this weekend for me.I did see a 3 1/2 year old big 6 that I would have shot,but he never walked through my lanes.One more weekend of bowhunting left,and I have to work Saturday,so Sunday will be it except for our antlerless firearm season.

Re: 24 hour stomach flu Yikes!Sounds pretty nasty.Glad you feel better today.My daughter had a 104 temp last night and this morning,but never did puke or anything,just slept a lot,and now her temp is down to about 100.A lot of stuff going around this time of year.

My Blue notes lost to Nashville again in a shoot out,but at least they picked up a point.The schedule is ridiculous,they actually play the Preds 8 times this season.

As for predictions,boy was I way off base...I picked Calgary.

Re: Team 1 I plan to hit it pretty hard tommorrow and Sunday morning.It just quit raining this morning,and high pressure is moving in tommorrow,so with that and cooler temps the deer should be moving.I'm anxious to hunt my new sets for the first time,so hopefully it pays off this weekend.

Re: \"Treestandbowhunter offical 2006/7 NHL thread\" I must say VH,your Bruins are doing surprisingly well.I didn't think Thomas had it in him. We'll ,the Blues have won 2 in a row...they beat the Penguins and the Kings,and lost to Nashville the 2 previous games,but did manage to get 1 point from both of those games.Andy Murray has really lit a fire under their butts,and they finally look like an NHL team.After his first game he gave a couple of guys from the first and second lines healthy scratches,and since then they've really stepped up their play.I doubt they make the playoffs this year,but they could really be spoilers for a few teams.

I suppose I can't complain.I have a little bow hunting left still.I did tag two does with shotgun,but nothing with the bow yet this year.This season has definately not lived up to my expectations though.I never saw a shooter buck in 7 days of gun season,and only saw about 5 all year long so far,and none of them were in bow range.I moved some stands last weekend,so we'll see what happens these next three weeks.
