That is beautiful. I'm a winter guy & love the snow, but when April gets here I'm ready for sunshine & warmer temps. I hear you Frank...these last two months around here have been crazy. Last year at this time we were consistently getting into the 70's, with a few 80 degree days thrown in. This year we are struggling most days to make the 50's and the rain & clouds just won't quit. It looks like another chance for snow showers for us Friday & Sunday. My daughter is supposed to have a softball tournament this weekend, but it's not looking good at this point.

Rhino gets my vote for best deer. The big double main beam is just so rare & unique.

It's a long weekend for some people, so thought we might as well get our weekend check-in started early. I took off work tomorrow. I plan on going to breakfast with Grandpa and a few of his buddies tomorrow morning. They go every Friday, but it's kind of turned into a tradition for me to join them on Good Friday. My wife took off too, and is taking the kids spring clothes shopping so I might join them in the afternoon. It looks like we might finally have a dry day & see a little sun tomorrow, which will be a nice change of pace. Saturday we are going to the in-laws for Easter dinner, and Sunday going to my Aunts house for brunch. It looks like rain again on both days so will most likely be indoor festivities. What's everyone's Easter weekend looking like?

Friday, Friday, Friday...what's planned for the weekend? A whole lot of nothing on the agenda for tonight. I might grill and drink a cold Stag if the rain holds off. My wife works tomorrow so I'll be home with all the kids. I might put some weed & feed down in the yard and get the mower all tuned up for spring. By the look of things I'm only about 2 weeks away from the first grass cutting of the year. On Sunday Emma has her usual ball practice, but other than that not a lot going on.

Sounds like a great hunt Al...congrats! If I had a few turkey hunts that action packed I would devote a little more time to it lol.

So it looks like I may have to work a few hours again tomorrow....blah. Tonight my wife & daughter have some sort of fundraiser for a friend of ours to attend, so it will just be the boys and me. Sunday Emma has a little round robin tournament for her first outdoor tournament of the spring as long as the rain stays away. What's up with everybody else this weekend?

Anybody out there lol? It looks like the spring time lull is in full effect here. So it's Friday...what are the weekend plans looking like for everybody? Tonight my daughter has indoor softball practice. It looks like I'm going to have to work for at least a few hours tomorrow, then my twin nieces are having their 5th birthday party in the afternoon. Sunday it's ball practice again...getting ready for the spring tournaments.

I'm just getting over something myself. My 10 year old brought it home from school...cough, sore throat, runny nose, no energy. Not sure if it was a cold or the flu, but none of us have gotten flu shots the last 2 years. It didn't even slow him down lol. I didn't feel too bad and made it to work everyday. The wife has it now & just texted me that she came came home from work early and feels like crap with the same symptoms.

Let's get the weekend rolling. What's on the agenda for the weekend? It looks like I'll have to work a few hours tomorrow to get caught up on some stuff. Another company has taken us over & dumped a little extra work on my plate and I just can't get caught up. I need to get up to the farm and get some work done, but probably won't happen this weekend. If we can get a hold of some cheap tickets we might take the kids to Monster Jam tomorrow night. Sunday afternoon Emma has ball practice, and it looks like it will the first outdoor practice of the spring season. The weather looks great this weekend with mostly sunny skies and highs in the 50's.

Another slow weekend for us. Emma has an indoor scrimmage game tonight. Tomorrow I need to get a haircut and do some honey doos around the house. Sunday we are planning to go to church with Grandpa. I'm sure the grill will be fired up at some point and a beer will be opened. What's every bodies weekend looking like?

It looks like winter is on the way out here. We had some more cold & a couple of inches of snow last week, but looking at the 10 day forecast highs will be in the 40's & 50's the entire time. We went from mild drought to flooding with all of the rain we have gotten in the last 3 days. It's nice to see the days getting longer but I'm ready to see some sunshine.

I ended up watching the last half of the race. Not too many cars finished lol. About as big of a wreck fest as I can remember seeing in Daytona. Lots of new names and youngsters coming up this year.

Not much going on around our place this weekend for a change this weekend. Last weekend Evan, my 11 year old took his hunters safety course and got a perfect score. Have to brag about that lol. He scored better than most of the adults. Tonight him & some friends are going to an elementary school dance and then staying the night at our house. I'm not sure if most elementary school kids are into dancing, but whatever. Tomorrow looks like a chill & grill day with decent weather & no rain. Probably do a few things around the house as well. Sunday my daughter has hitting and a birthday party to go to. The kids are off school on Monday so they get a long weekend. What's your weekend look like?

I would like to have that done myself. I am soooo sick of dealing with contacts. Been wearing them for 25 years now...out every night and in every morning. My prescription has changed the last few years, and I guess they like to wait until your eyes have stayed the same consistent prescription for a certain period of time. My wife works for an eye doctor and got to see a few of these procedures done.

Friday check-in is upon us. What's everyone have going on for the weekend? Tonight & all day tomorrow Evan will be taking his Illinois hunters safety course, so I'll be with him. He's excited to take the course and get his hunting career started. The wife has to work tomorrow, so I'll have the little one with me as well. Emma has ball practice tonight & hitting on Sunday. My weekend in a nut shell.

Tominator, MCH, and Chrud all disappeared around the same time. All of them were good guys. Everybody seems to have a Facebook account these days, but it just doesn't appeal to me so I miss out on stuff occasionally lol.

I was going to pull for the Eagles after they beat the Vikings. After seeing all of the videos of how they were treating the Vikings fans after the game I find it impossible to root for them. Just mobs of people chucking full beers, flipping them off, yelling at them, getting peed on, and they're just trying to get out of there in one piece. I can't imagine what would have happened if the Eagles would have lost. I am not a fan of the Pats, but hope they demolish the Eagles.

I haven't quail hunted for years. Sounds like it should be a fun trip. Be safe.

Try saying that five times fast lol. Take a wild guess what we have planned for the weekend....more indoor softball. Another tournament for Emma this weekend. This makes it three weekends in a row, but looks like we'll have a break for a few weeks after this one. They did end up winning the championship last weekend! After two games tonight they won't play until late tomorrow night, so will do some running and a few honey doo's in the morning. We'll probably watch the Super Bowl on Sunday whether we are at the softball dome or home. I don't really care for either team so not overly enthused about it. Whats on everyone's agenda for the weekend?

The video is nicely done. The drone footage is pretty cool. It's illegal to hunt deer that way here, but still neat to see different ways to deer hunt. Looks like a fun hunt.

Nice video. I would say a few bleats followed by some grunts has been my most successful calling technique over the years.

The only reason they were considered under dogs is that their starting QB got hurt a few weeks ago and is out for the season. Everyone expected them to take a step back. They are basically doing all of this with an average back up QB, but the rest of the team is still really stacked. The same could have been said about the Vikings as well, since they have been playing with their back up QB since week 2 of the regular season.
