Jeez! Some great bucks. Looks like you guys should have a great season.
-
Atta boy! Congrats Tim! Looks like a great speed goat. Sounds like a great trip!

This afternoon Emma has a middle school softball game, but it's a pretty good drive & starts early so we are not going to watch. After work I plan on going home and hit the weights, then find some chunks of wild animal to throw on the grill. Tomorrow she has a one day tournament, and Sunday is her first practice of the season with her traveling team. Other than that I need to mow the yard, and start going through all my hunting gear.

Looks like you guys were dialed in! Great pics! I need a vacation like that lol.
-
Awesome! That sucker ought to get the job done.
-
Jeez that's a lot of shooting lol. Looks like a great time!

Good luck Tim! Sounds like a good time. Hope to see some trophy pics when you get back.

Another Friday is upon us. What do you have going on this weekend? It looks like some decent August weather again this weekend for us. I'm planning on going to the farm tomorrow and get some shooting lanes trimmed and trails cut. If I have time I may move some stands around. Need to get some cameras out too. Sunday looks like a free day, which doesn't happen too often. On a side note, my daughter hit her first ever home run yesterday at her middle school tournament. She went 7 for 11 with two triples over the tourney. It's nice to see her get rewarded for all the work she puts into it. The kid is 13......she works out 2-3 days a week, hits off a tee in the basement at least 4 days a week, and drags me to the field at least once a week to hit her pop fly's and grounders. Very proud of my little girl. Hopefully it's the first of many.

Yea I seen Shaun posted something similar last week. I also noticed the pics you posted in another thread are gone. Generally I post pictures directly from my PC. I have some old pictures in photobucket, but really haven't used the account in quite a while.

I don't have an answer for you. I'm not sure anybody here has jumped on the ozone bandwagon just yet. I made a thread on here last winter and nobody was too familiar with the ozone generators. I'm sure someone at Archerytalk would have an answer for you if you are a member on their forum. How do you like the ozone generator? I've been kicking around the idea of either buying one or assembling one myself.

Holy smoke....woke up to 59 degrees this morning. I'll take this is August any time. High is only suppose to be 75, and no big heat in the long range forecast either. So what are every bodies plans this weekend? Looks like I have almost an exact repeat of last weekend. Last round of softball tryouts for Emma Saturday & Sunday. She's already made the team, but wants to spend some time practicing with the other girls. We got some nice rain this week, so the yard needs mowed again. I'm definitely going to get the bow out and shoot at some point this weekend, and the kids will probably want to shoot the crossbow. This cool weather is starting to put me in motion for deer season.

Man, that looks like a great time! Those are some dandies.

Just like that another month is winding down. That leaves me 2 months now to get ready for deer season. I need to get my bow out and shoot some this weekend. So last weekend we were in Branson for the last softball tournament of the season for my daughter. Guess what this weekend is.....tryouts lol. Looks like she has travel ball tryouts Saturday & Sunday this weekend, and middle school tryouts Tuesday & Wednesday of next week. So much for off season. Other than that I need to mow the lawn and do a few things around the house. A buddy of mine gave me a 12 pack of Yuengling bottles that I might work on this weekend. Our county fair is also going on right now so we may go up there at some point. It looks like our weather is going to be great for late July with highs in the mid 80's and lows in the 60's. So whatchya doing this weekend?
-
Man, that stinks. Not much you can do about it. It's happened to quite a few of us over the years. I use to have a great about 10 minutes from my house. A friend of the family owned it, and my cousin & I hunted their for quite a few years. He started having random people coming up offering to lease it, and I guess it was too good to turn down.
-
We have to wait until October 1, but I'm not even close to being ready.
-
I know it's an early check-in again. It should be the last early check-in for a while since travel softball will be winding down and school ball will be starting up. I'm going to have to work some full weeks until hunting season. We are leaving for Branson after work tonight and won't be home until Sunday. Emma is already down there playing. We are hoping to have some time around games to visit Silver Dollar City and the Titanic Museum. We have been down that way several times, but never made it to either of those places. Looks like a whole lot of hot for the next few days that I am not looking forward to dealing with. Highs around 100 and lows in the 80's...blah. What are your weekend plans?
-
That sucker will get the job done! Looks like it can take out some nice size trees too. It looks perfect for thick, overgrown areas.
-
Sweet! Sharp looking grocery getter. The wife & I were just talking about our next vehicle over the weekend. Our Suburban is going to need replaced in the next year or two. It's up to about 170,000 miles and starting to show some rust. Sounds like my wife wants a black SUV or crossover next time around.

So here's what one of my plots looks like
MUDRUNNER replied to Ultradog's topic in Land & Wildlife Management
William pretty much has you covered. In the past for my fall plots I would mow, wait a week or two and spray, wait another week or two to till & plant. -
Mellow weekend coming up for us. I think we are going to a homecoming picnic tonight. Probably eat, watch the parade, have a few beers. Tomorrow morning Emma is running in a 5K with my sister, and Evan is running a mile race with my nieces. Sunday she leaves with her team to go to Branson for a softball world series. Now that we got some rain last night I plan on mowing the yard at some point this weekend. What does everyone else have planned for the weekend?

I still have all of my wisdom teeth. They bugged the crap out of me when they were coming in, but no way I could afford to get them taken out back then. The dentist still wants me to get them taken out, but they don't bother me a bit since they've all came in. Generally my teeth are in pretty good shape...never even had a cavity in my 41 years. I actually go in today for my 6 month check up/cleaning. I did break a tooth last summer that was pretty horrible.Broke it down to the root and ended up having to get a root canal that took about 5 visits.
-
Yea I think at some point I might pick up a small 3 point disc. He bought the PTO tiller for his garden more than anything, but I agree that for food plots a disc would probably be the better option.
-
A little update on the weekend....the girls played some good softball. Ended up going 4 and 2 and finished in the top 16. They had the lead in their elimination game going into the last inning, but ended up losing in the bottom half by one run.

I am heading out of town tomorrow morning with my daughter, and won't be back until Sunday. Thought I would get this weeks 7-7-17 Friday check-in started early. My bride can't get off work & has to go in on Saturday for a few hours, so she & the 2 boys are staying home this weekend. Emma and I are heading to Pekin for the Illinois ASA state championships tournament. It looks like 48 teams are entered, and some of the best teams in the state. I doubt her team makes it very deep, but if we can pull off a win or two I'll take that. Hopefully I can shake this cold I've been fighting for the past 2 days and enjoy myself. Let's hear your weekend plans.
