Re: Switching to a fall away rest I swithched to a QAD rest. I love it full containment drop away so you lose nothing from your biscuit arrow can't come out once it is cocked. Will also stay up on a let down, only drops after shot great rest I hightly recommend it.

Re: New bow draw length and speed -- ROOKIE QUESTION You will lose about 10 fps with every inch of draw length you go down. Speed is not the main concern here though. Get the draw length right for you and don't try to stretch it out to gain a few fps, I know it is tempting to think that just a 1/2" more and you would pick up some speed but get the bow the right draw length for you and just shoot it. It will be fast enough. Something that helps is draw it and have someone take a picture of you from the side while you are looking like you would if you were shooting, the nock should be directly below your eye while you are standing staight and not leaning back to your string. Please do yourself a favor and don't get the draw to long. You will shoot your bow much more accurate if you aren't all stretched out.

Re: Son\'s First Deer Congrats to both of you. Looks like your son is hooked.

Re: 2006 Rifle buck Congrats that is an awesome deer!

Re: Antlered Doe [ QUOTE ] just out of curiosity, do you have to use a buck tag, or can you tag it as a doe? nice looking deer anyway! [/ QUOTE ] We have an antlered tag and antlerless tags so I think you would use antlered tags just the same as you use antlerless tags on button bucks.

Re: Tonight at the blind Congrat that is very impressive with a pistol. Good shooting

Re: Antlered Doe I'm not trying to start anything but, I live within 20 miles of this and they are questioning it because the date from the camera is the day before gun season opened in MO. My main point in this is just to make sure the date that is on your camera is right, because now they are questioning how this all happened. Neat deer though.

Re: Antelope hunt Thanks, I will look into that unit. I will do some more research and get back to you with more questions. Is the chance of killing a decent antelope pretty good though? I have never been so I really don't know what to expect. Thanks also about the hint on knee pads and leather gloves. Any more advice is welcomed. Thanks again.

My dad and I are thinking about going on an antelope hunt and I need any advise I can get. We are thinking about going to Wyoming and are thinking about NE Wyo. but would be open to any input. We will be rifle hunting and hunting on public land. Thanks for any information you could give.

I bought a remington 700 sps in 22-250 this weekend and put a Nikon Pro staff 3-9x40 scope on it. They bore sighted it at Bass Pro but I was wondering what is the best way to get it sighted in? I have heard dead on at 25 yards and then see where it is at other distances is that right? Any tips or input is great. Thanks

Re: Help me pick a scope Thanks guys I was wondering about the Redhead brand also. Keep them coming.

Re: need sites and rest for my new bow Don't know what kind of price you are wanting but here is what I have. QAD hunter rest, benifits of a biscuit and a drop away all in one, best rest out there IMO and it's $50.00. I have a Copper John sight which I like, but I think Extreme makes a good looking sight also. Good luck with whatever you pick, but just make sure you get good quality accessories for your bow.

Re: Best Rubber Boots I have the Lacrosse Alpha Burly's and love them. Mine are non insulated but they make them in 1000. Definately recommend them.

I am going to get a new Remington SPS in 22-250, will be using it mostly for coyotes, maybe a couple trips prairie dog hunting, and just shooting. I think I am wanting something around a 4-12x40. I would like to spend $225 or less. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Re: An Antlered Doe I've seen the pics of it have them at work here but they are just on a piece of copy paper that I have no way of scanning. The deer has a wild rack with one of the points coming down along the side of the deers face. It is still in full velvet. It is getting a lot of news around here. I've heard rumors that Bass Pro is wanting it.

Re: Nice MO Buck [ QUOTE ] Nice! Sometimes I wish I'd stayed out there! (in Joplin) [/ QUOTE ] They are still few and far between here. I have hunted for 14 years on this land and this is the first nice buck we have taken from it. It is a nice part of the country though.

Re: Louisiana Buck 2006 Nice buck that thing has some mass. Congrats!

Re: DREAM CHASERS Good job on the coyote I shot one Friday morning with my bow. This is a deer of a lifetime for me I have hunted since I was 10 started bow hunting then and rifle hunted but I have been in the field with my dad since I was probably 3, he had to carry most of the way because the grass was to tall, I am now 24. The deer isn't anything compared to the memories with my dad just being out in the field. Take your kids hunting!
