Re: speed mod vs smooth mod I had the same problem you are having I went with the allegiance with smooth mods. As far as speed goes it is about 8 feet difference and with the bow you are going to have plenty of speed either way, just depends on if you are wanting to hit a certain number. Just draw them both a lot and you will know which one you want. I am very happy with the smooth mods and glad I went with them I thought they would just be better on a cold morning after sitting in a stand. You will like your new bow they are awesome. Let us know what you decide and if you have any other questions let me know.

Bows for my girlfriend????? Whats Out there???

Re: Bows for my girlfriend????? Whats Out there??? Got my wife a Parker Challenger. Very good shooter. Just let her look at them she will figure out what she wants and likes the best. Women are different from men they don't care as much about the brand name and just pick out what looks and feels best to them. Good luck and way to go on starting her to the sport. -
Re: Opinions on this REST.. Looks like a nice rest, I don't have any experience wiht it but do with the QAD ultra-rest, and am very happy with it. Both are well thought of companies I think you would probably be happy with either. Good luck.

Re: Drop Away rest recommendations I shoot a QAD ultra-rest hunter model. I really like the idea behind this rest. For hunting you don't have to worry about your arrow falling around all over the place just lock it up and you don't have to worry another nice thing about it being locked up is if you have to let down the rest stays in place and doesn't fall. The rest is also very easy to set up. Highly recommend this rest. Have one on my bow, my wifes, and my dads. Also the hunter series is only $50.00

Re: NAP Quickspin vanes They work pretty good and do spin more than a normal vane. I don't think they make that much of a difference to cover the price difference over other vanes. I didn't see my groups shrink like advertised and at longer ranges I think they don't group as well. They do work good with broadheads at normal hunting ranges. Good luck with what you decide they might really work great for you.

Re: Im already getting the Jitters! I am with you I can't hardly take it. I have a new bow this year and the first doe that comes by is going to be in trouble. I to am going to wait for a decent buck. I have only killed one buck with my bow a small 7 point, but I would love to get a nice buck someday. But this past season I didn't get any backstraps so I am hurting wanting some deer steaks. Good luck with the wait hope you have a good season. MO bow season will open sept. 15

Re: Realtree Turkey Team #22 congrats on another bird Joe sounds like a nice one. I am done for the year with no birds under my belt, just wasn't a very good season, lots of birds they just didn't seem to be interested in anything. Sorry no points out of me. Good luck to anyone still hunting.

Re: Realtree Turkey Team #22 Way to go iron buck sounds like a lot of fun. Congrats.

Re: new bow ? I looked at both this year both are very nice bows, but to me the bowtech felt better I had a really hard time between the allegiance and the tribute but went with the allegiance with smooth mods and I could not be happier with it. In agreement with above check out the Diamond line it has some really nice bows and they are a little cheaper also. You really just need to shoot as many as possible one will stand out to YOU and that is the one you want, don't get to caught up in brand name they all make some good bows. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Re: Realtree Turkey Team #22 Going out again this weekend it has been a hard season so far, lot of hard headed birds that don't seem to be to interested. I think they got our season a little late this year, I heard from a guy around here that he already saw a hen with several poults. Sure doesn't seem like the toms even care about the hens right now but all it takes is one bird to get in the right mood at the right time so I'm not giving up yet. Joe sorry to hear about your ankle at least you got that bird before you went down. Good luck with a fast recovery.

Re: Maybe Moving to Joplin, Missouri I live in Joplin, the 3d is okay depending on what you are comparing it to I guess there are 2 clubs that are within 30 minutes, Avilla and Neosho both pretty good local shoots. The hunting can be good it all depends on if you find a good piece of land that is private, which can be tough. There are a few public places that can have good deer and turkey on but they are hunted pretty hard. PM me and tell me about your move and I will try to give you more information on any questions you have.

Re: Realtree Turkey Team #22 Didn't have any luck this morning. Saw two jakes so that was fun. I think it is going to be a rough season seems like it is awfully late. I will be back out Saturday.

Re: Realtree Turkey Team #22 Our season opened yesterday, the 24th, I haven't gotten to go out yet. I am planning on trying to take off tomorrow morning and hunt. My dad went out yesterday and saw 4 toms and 5 jakes, didn't get any close enough to kill though. I am looking forward to just getting out and hopefully hear some gobbling. I will also be hunting this weekend. Good luck everybody and stay at it.
