  1. If he is wanting speed those are not the way to go. The 340's weith 9.5 grains per inch where the Goldtips Hunters are 8.1
  2. Just read your last post.................if you don't want to cut them then cut 2 of them down and shoot them to see how they fly. If they fly good, which they will, then cut the rest.
  3. I shoot 70 lbs 28" draw and I've shot everything from a 29" inch arrow to a 26" arrow in the 5575's. Those arrows shouldn't be underspined. If I was you I would cut 2 inches off the tip and shoot them. That will pull you back up into the .400 spine group as they show it.
  4. Oh no yall got the wrong address for tim....................pm me and I will get you the right one.
  5. I was expecting Montoya to take out half the field from the start.............Surprised me that it wasn't him in all the wrecks
  6. It came to a quick end. My 2 buddies had to both work.
  7. I'm headed to Wewoka Saturday night for a Sunday goose hunt.............................
  8. Good..................We just need to soak it down with something to help break it down. Then tighten just enough to hold it standing up.
  9. Go over there and loosen the nuts all the way off. It needs to expand for a couple days. We also need to find something to spray it with to start to break down. I thought about mixing some soapy water and spraying it with a pump sprayer.
  10. Yeah there is. I did some research and alot of people are shooting that same material. Just gonna take the time to fix it. First it needs to be loosened and allowed to expand. I'm gonna spray it with water or something to break it down some.
  11. I wish. Mondays are worst day of week here. Most times I am here til 10pm or later. This semester however Mel has class from 4pm to 7pm so I have to be home with the kids every monday this semester. I told Bear and those guys they picked the worst day of the week. Since you aren't working go get Theresa's range fixed where we can shoot.
  12. I'm ready to shoot some indoor now.........Got my eyes check and a new prescription where I can actually see the X.............Nice.
  13. I know that feeling too............I was contract labor for 4 years and 4 grand a year about killed me.
  14. I always love January for that simple fact.
  15. Not really wanting to sell it huh.............LOL
  16. We aren't debt free but getting closer. I still got 1,500 to 2,000 worth of materials to buy for the house. We still have a house payment for 4 years, and a credit card. I hate credit cards but sometimes you gotta have them.
  17. I thought you were back up in Ohio working..............Did you get the Turbohawk sold?
  18. Yep my old truck has been paid off for a while. Felt good knowing I don't have to give Dodge a few hundred a month. Also paid off home depot on the improvements we have been making on the house...............
  19. Got my taxes and paid off the wife's car. :fish::fish::fish::fish:
  20. My choice is the Magnus Stinger Buzzcut 100 grain. After buying a pack and testing them I found that they shot better than any fixed blade I had shot before, they are also extremely tough, and have a lifetime warranty...........................
  21. Me and a buddy have more than enough duck decoys. He has a dozen floater goose decoys but the guy we hunted with the other day had 2 dozen shells and he could carry them all in one pack and put them out in 5 minutes.
  22. Think the title says it all. I'm not rich but looking for a couple dozen. Would like to find a dozen shells and a dozen floaters or more. Let me know what you got. Thanks, Hutchies
  23. Everytime I see a newbie that is nervous I just walk up and say..........Remember everyone of the shooters you see on this line were a beginner like you at one time. We've all been in your shoes. I can't stand it when the guys that have been shooting for years have a holier than thou attitude toward the new guys.
  24. We got up to Wewoka and got very, very little sleep the night before due to Bs'n and anticipation of what tomorrow would bring. Come 5:00am I was up like a light with geese on the brain. Never had a place to hunt them before and I can tell you that us 2 southern Oklahoma boys were excited. We setup on a slew/field edge. Duck decoys on the water and goose decoys on the drilled wheat field right under a pecan tree. As daylight came we were afraid it was gonna be a dud because the weather was cloudy, nasty, and not at all what the weather man predicted. About 45 minutes after waiting we heard some geese and the blood was pumping. Wayne and Tiger were laying down some sweet sweet tunes and the geese were diggin on it. 2 geese came right in above us 20 yards up and when "kill'em" was called they didn't have a chance. Tiger and I loaded them up with a face full of steel and they dropped 15 yards from us. Soon as the shots rang out we saw geese and ducks come up everywhere. We knew then it was gonna be a good day. The callers put on a clinic with geese coming in solid for 45 minutes. If Wayne and I would have brought some heavier shot I have no doubt we could have limited easily. I guaruntee we are hooked and I know dang well we will be more prepared next time. At the day's end we had 15 ducks and 7 geese. It was one heck of a day and one I'll never forget thanks to my brother and a new found friend.
