I would understand if it was a way out there and they thought they were shooting a doe. But these people are shooting buttons at 20-30 yards and they know what they are shooting when they shoot.

Re: Didnt feel quite right I agree. I will not take a shot on anything if I think I may not kill it. My neighbor has shot two with his bow this year and lost both of them because of bad shots. Unless I can make positive identification of the deer and where I am going to hit it.

Then you will be able to tell what she really cares about. I realize that you might end up with the kids but from the way it sounds it seems like you and your wife take care of the kids most of the time anyway.

Re: Frustrated With Poor Hunters! I will not take a shot unless I feel that it will be a one shot kill. There is no reason to shoot 3 or 4 shots at a deer. The way I feel is that I can always kill it another day. I have not shot many deer in my life but the ones I hit were one shot kills. My six pointer had no hear or lungs when I opened him up. He fell and died instantly . The way it should be. I feel that a shooting test should be set up for anyone wanting to hunt. Why not they make them take hunters education why don't they make them take shooters education.

Does anyone have one of these? I looked at one the other day at wal-mart and it was a 6-18x50 for $129. Clear as a bell and I could read letters off the grocery aisle on the other end of the store. Re: 270 win what everyones favorite cartridge .30-06 in 180 grain ballistic silvertips. Shot a six at about 30 feet lower elevation than me. He turned it hit him in right where the neck meets the shoulder. Took out the spine and heart at 120yrds. No chasing that deer!!!!! LOL

Re: What is the best deer rifle? Remington makes a managed recoil shell for the .30-06 and it only has like an 8 lb kick compared to a 21 lb kick normally. And it will probably shoot flatter because it only uses 130 grain shells.
