Well, I was able to connect on this late season buck with my bow after our gun season was over. I'm definitely happy to get him this late in the game. I had passed him up during the bow season and knew in the back of my mind I would take him if I didn't shoot something else before December rolled around. I sure didn't see the size of bucks I had hoped for this year and it was actually a very challenging season for me with a lot of mishaps and bad luck. All in all, I'm glad to have him in the freezer and I'm getting my turkey calls tuned up for spring! It's been fun talking with you guys and it's good to know there are still some open-minded, good-hearted people who enjoy and support hunting in the great outdoors!

fenderhunt4 8pt buck #14- Team Freak Nasty

I passed up a 10pt with two broken tines and an 8pt with good potential for next year. We had a lot of warm weather last week which really pushed rut activity to nighttime only. I am heading out this Thursday, but it's calling for rain. I am also taking some young boys down to KY for the weekend for the Rifle season. It is there first hunt so they are excited. I'm hoping they with both get something...I'm just glad for the opportunity to pass on the hunting tradition too!
