Re: Finally got my buck back! Natures Way Taxidermy in Beckley..! Don Dawson is his name..... great fella to do business with! He's won multiple awards for his work...... but specializes in mammals and is mostly known for his full size bear mounts! I'm not sure where you're from, but one day if you're in the Beckley area, look him up and pay his shop a visit... he has a showroom and everything.

After a little over 10 months of waiting.... I finally got my buck back from the taxidermist.. and I must say, I'm SO happy with it! I killed this 8 point last fall on the first day of rifle season! Now keep in mind, although he's not the biggest buck ever killed, he's my first buck.... and the memories I have from the hunt were enough in itself to have him mounted, that way the day I was lucky enough to take him would be forever fresh in my mind! Pictures definately don't do this mount justice!!

There's still somewhat of a language barrier... although in this last trip I was able to understand them much better and wasn't having to listen REALLY CLOSE to make sure I was hearing things right. lol

Re: ladies, who is your real tree man? Ah, my Realtree man is total disaster. He sent me a message on here over a year ago, thanks to Shaun! Since then I've been up to Nova Scotia once at the beginning of this year.... he visited here twice during the summer and I'm leaving on Saturday to go back up there. During my visit he's taking me duck hunting for my very first time.. I don't think I could thank Shaun enough for telling Justin to send me a message......

Re: HEY GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey girls, sorry I haven't been around much the past few months. I've been kinda laying low and keeping busy with everything else. Work has been absolutely kicking my butt here lately... and next month I'm planning to go back to part time. I work too hard for way too little money - it's a real shame. Back in March I ditched my boyfriend of 6 years and made a trip up to Nova Scotia to meet a user on the forums.... you all may know him as total disaster... his name is Justin. I had a total blast during my time up there and obviously so did he.. seeing as how he came down here last month to visit for almost 2 weeks! We've really hit it off and are making big plans for the future! He's coming back down here for a week in September, then we're flying back to NS together where I'm staying for 2 weeks, spending our b-days together.. going duck hunting for the first time ever.. and experiencing being out on the ocean in a boat... LOL. Pray for me! We've also made plans for me to go up there and stay for 2 MONTHS next year during the spring! I CAN'T WAIT! Now that I've rambled enough about this...... I'll shut up now. I miss you girls.

Re: Deadliest Catch I absolutely LOVE this show. Thanks to Justin (total disaster) for getting me hooked on it. LOL! I'm gonna buy season one on DVD soon......! I also have major respect for Lewis and Justin for doing this stuff. Justin has sent me quite a few videos of them while out lobstering and such....... and the dangers they face every day are just crazy!

Re: What do you have... My 8 point from last years opening day of rifle season! I was told that I should expect to get it back in 8-12 months. I want it back NOW, LOL! I have the place on my bedroom wall picked out and everything.
