I disagree with New about the Canadian girls being ugly...that little blonde figure skater is cute as a button. Upon second reading of the OP, I am beginning to think Lewis isn't really sorry at all. HB

It was a great game, and could have gone either way right up to the end. If that doesn't get you pumped about hockey, nothing will. Since I lost my side bet, sing with me, "OH Canada, our home and native land..." HB

Church, Sunday School, then...U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! HB

rednkneck-is she a trial attorney? If she has had 5 murder trials this year, I will bow down. That's a ton. Are you guys shipping in murderers from Detroit or something? I thought I was on a roll with this being my third jury trial this year. HB

Pretty big trial this week. Started a little rough, but finished nicely. The articles are mostly correct factually, but not totally. http://thenewsdispatch.com/articles/2010/02/26/news/local/doc4b8607e87eff0537135365.txt http://www.heraldargus.com/articles/2010/02/27/news/local/doc4b8756dbba40b140435603.txt He could be looking at 40 years for this, plus he has another set of the same charges yet to be resolved. You can have mine when I am done with it, for all I care. Talk to my wife about shipping... HB

I must say, she's a beauty. Trust me on this, guys. These knives are not fragile little pretties to put on a shelf. I DO keep mine on a display shelf, until it's time to go hunt. She can take it! HB

Wow, great witness! I am very happy for you. Oh, and about that struggle to overcome your sinful nature-welcome to the fight that will last your whole life long. I am so right there with you, as are all of us that are aware we are in the fight! HB

Welcome to the forums. I was fortunate enough to pass through your town en route to two weeks on Birch Creek several years ago. Float trip for moose with a buddy from Anchorage. Would love to get back. I look forward to your posts so I can keep the dream alive. HB

My Job Application Reply - Hysterical, I think.

I am thinking of entering the photo contest they are sponsoring. EVIL, I say!!! HB -
Geeze...I finally get around to reading this thread, thinking Ruth is going to tell on herself and that she has caught a man, and this is what I get? Two kids smooching in the car, and breaking the...commandment against kissing in the car? Hmmmm. HB

I drove from New Carlisle, Indiana to North Yellowstone, Montana in a little over 24 hours once. I love that. I really love driving on an adventure. I stopped once in Illinois to whiz. I stopped once in Wisconsin for gas, to make a pb&j on the tailgate and to whiz. I stopped once in Minnesota for gas and to whiz. I stopped at the Cabela's in Eastern South Dakota around sundown, just because. I ate a sandwich and browsed around. Then I drove to Rapid City and slept for a couple hours in the truck. I woke up cold and turned on the heater and drove into Montana. I almost hit a big muley buck in a whiteout on a mountain pass at about 03:30 or so. I rolled into Bozeman and then South into North Yellowstone before lunchtime. I like to drive. HB

I think if she'd wanted you dead, you would be a long way into a dirt nap by now, buddy. I think you're safe just by virtue of the fact that she knows she doesn't have the patience to house-break one of these young guys all full of P and V and doesn't feel like taking out the garbage herself. I have a built in life insurance policy around my house. I put all the lids on the jars so dang tight I am the only one that can open them. I know it has saved me from an untimely demise a time or two. A marriage without fun is...no fun. Keep it going. HB

Thanks Thanks for clearing that up. I was wondering what in the heck a black bear was doing in mid air, and why you were shooting at it with a flu-flu. All sorts of confused, I was! HB

Yeah, man. You got it. Nobody ever gives to liver any attention unless it acts up. Hopefully a little biopsy and TLC will have you two back in love by Monday, so to speak. HB

Met her when I was in 7th and she in 6th grade ('83). Started dating when I was a senior in HS ('88). Got engaged when I was a senior in college ('92), got married when I finished my first year of law school ('94). Cruising toward 16 years of wedded bliss on 7/16/2010. HB

A vine that hung down from a tree near a tree stand I favor. I actually hit it, but too high to get my arrow out when I was down on the ground. It has hung there for probably 10 years, all the fletching has dissolved and yet it still mocks me. HB

Yes. You can fit any Endeavor barrel, Pro-Hunter barrel, or Encore barrel to any Encore or Pro-Hunter or Endeavor frame. Note this does not extend to Contender or Contender G2 parts, which are NOT interchangeable with each other or any breed of Encore stuff. HB

Cabela's used to buy mounts, not sure since they aren't building stores like crazy at the moment. Maybe call them and Bass Pro? HB

What to do with the stock?! Need ideas?!
Hoosierbuck replied to Jeramie's topic in Rifles & Accessories
Never done it, but there is a process called steaming which can raise some dents out of the wood. That would be part of a total strip and sand and refinish package deal, I think. My stocks are either plastic or dinged wood. HB -
I don't know what kind of shindig you have in mind, but if you are thinking a camping get together, Willow Slough Fish and Wildlife Area is right on the Indiana/Illinois line, and has camping and a gun range. I would try to be there, assuming I was not starting a trial the next Monday. (I have trials scheduled the first Monday of pretty much every month.) If it did work out like that, I would be able to provide some of the extra camping gear and house another guy or two or three in my tent, plus I have an extra tent or two, also. I might even be able to pull off a little friendly rifle competition or something like that. HB

Hate to see a brother selling his mounts to pay the bills. I hope things come around sooner than later for you. HB

You will spend too much of your life at work to do something you hate. Better to switch now than 25 years from now. IF your brother loves you, he will understand, especially since he knows that you love landscaping. HB
