  1. I have that barrel in my gun safe, still in the clam pack. PM me and we'll talk pesos and such. HB
  2. PM'd you since you are on here right now. Give me a holler. HB
  3. As of right now, 6pm Eastern 1-28-10, the family is taking him off life support and he will die in the OR, where doctors are waiting to give life to others with Ethan's last gift. Please pray for these people I don't even know...and smile because there is another little man in Jesus's arms by the time you read this. HB
  4. I use 70 gr. in one of my Hawkens...kills 'em dead at short range with patched round balls. HB
  5. Rips the heart right out of you when you read about kids like that. If you can read his story without feeling something then you know you are truly dead inside. Prayers sent, along these lines for those inclined to send a quick one up: "Dear Father, Please deal with kindness and mercy with your child Ethan. If it be your will to bring him healing then we will acknowledge Your greatness through his weakness. If it be Your will to bring him home to You, then we will praise Your mercy. Please send Your Holy Spirit to be with his family for whatever You have in store. Bring them peace and comfort in the knowledge that You are in control and work all things for good. In Jesus name, Amen." HB

    One month...

Before he went and did a good #2 I was going to say he was clearly going to be a lawyer, since he was so full of it. Would that be wrong? HB
  7. My only experience with T-Mobile has been very nice. Of course that only entails gazing upon their spokesperson-Catherine Zeta Jones. She's purty. HB
  8. I do rabbits and squirrels just the opposite of redkneck-I dredge in flour/salt/pepper and brown in skillet, then pressure cook them. Pretty darn good for plain Jane. HB
  9. Like I told you on the phone that time, I farm out the assembly part to my friendly local SWAT armorer. I just give him a stripped lower and some money, less than buying one OTC, and he hands me an AR to my spec. Works for me! Good luck! HB
  10. Usually the caches are ammo cans that are hidden in various scenic areas. There are all sorts of side games like travel bugs-things that people move from one can to another to further the bug in it's quest to get to some far off and exotic locale, and track it's progress along the way. There is a log boook in the cache that you sign in, and you can leave a trinket and take a trinket. At the geocache website they give the GPS coordinates and rate how difficult the terrain is, and also track the log books. Good times. HB
  11. It is pretty fun, and gets you used to using and reading your GPS unit. My kids really love it. They call it "treasure hunt" and I let them swap trinkets with the cache. Good times outdoors with the kids. HB
  12. Hmmm...if you are considering placing this weapon as the last line of defense for your bride's or children's life...do you really want to guess and hope it has enough power to do the job? We aren't talking about shooting a guy so that he dies after bleeding for 45 minutes, after he has beaten your wife to a pulp and kidnapped a child for sale into human slavery. We are talking about ending a violent attack RIGHT NOW. I would not trust a .22 magnum for that at all, ever. I am a big fan of the .22 WMR for woodchucks, possums, raccoons and cats. I am a big fan of .380- and up for bad varmints of the two legged sort. HB
  13. That's no shotgun lamp-that's a .22 gallery gun, right? Good job on the entertainment center. HB
  14. Wow! Sorry about deer season, but the rest is good news. Congrats on the bambino! HB
  15. My dad was in head-on with a semi when he was 19 and badly mangled, they said he never would walk again. He is over 70 now and still ambulatory, albeit with a walker due to his age and other health issues. Never undersestimate the resiliency of a strong young body or the power of prayer. Tell him never quit trying or praying. HB
  16. Thanks to all of you. I went with the Alpine Soft-lock 5 arrow. I like how it holds the arrow two places besides the head. Again-I appreciate the input. HB
  17. Powerbelts for $7 is about the best they had here. That's a good deal if those are your bullets. HB
  18. Can't imagine the energy that imparts to the target. Devastating I am sure. You hit a critter with that and it's ancestors shudder. HB
  19. I am, once again, so grateful our church has an excellent grade school (pre-school thru 8th grade) attached. Not that there are never any issues, but there aren't many usually. Thanks for that check Swampy. HB
  20. God refers to Himself as the "Father" all the time. Jesus does this repeatedly, and since he is begotten of the Father, of one being with the Father-He ought to know. Don't know much about the other religions, to tell the truth. HB
  21. Thank you all for your input, I appreciate it! HB
  22. My biggest tip is to get out there every chance you get. Can't kill 'em from the couch. That and food sources or checking tracks in the snow if we ever get any. Find where trails cross or deer move heavy to/from food and ambush them. Good luck HB
  23. Holy cow! At that price I could buy a truckload of BH here and rent a truck, drive it to CA, sell it for $35 per each and make a killing!! HB
  24. "cheat" and "cheater"...are those the new, softer euphamisms for being a big fat ADULTERER? That's a pretty low breed in my book, I don't care what's in their wallet or anything else. Nobody is dishonest in just one area, if you have no scruples, you will do whatever feels right at the time. I am not perfect, and I can't get to Heaven on my own, but I am not laying hands on another woman. Which sin or how bad does not matter to God, all carries the same repercussions, but I am petty so it matters to me. HB
