Re: Scope Shooting Doc, you are right, you need to have your face weld set at the same point all the time. I will close my eyes (yes, both are better then one) get my breath and when I am ready for the next shot, open both eyes, get my site pic and tuch off the gun. working the bolt with my eyes closed and right back into the rest. the best thing in shooting is like everything else, the more you do it the better you get but when on a range, do it right and the same every time. It had been some time sense I had done some fine range work and took our SR-25 out a few weeks ago. The first mag (20 rounds) was bad, 1 1/2 to 2" groups. Got myself back into the mind set of shooting and not just up and shoot, I took it down to my last 2 groups was 5/8 and 3/4" respectivly at 200yd. That also took me 4 mags to do it, so take your time on the range and do it right and the same. Get your muscle memery down and it will happen like that all the time.

Re: I created a forum and loaded the pics Yes like hangunner said, it is the silver pipe, the pipe cleaners can be got a sites like www.midway.com or others. For the bolt, anytime you put a new bolt head in, you need to have it head spaced. I would never let anyone shoot a gun with out it being head spaced. that goes for an M-4, AK, M-700 or a M-2. Good thing with all the spair parts we keep on hand we also have the gage.

Re: I created a forum and loaded the pics First off I will say this: I hate any of the M-16 systoms but with my line of work, I have to take what they give me. the tub that is pushing out of the top of the bbl and into the recever. this needs to be cleanded, you can use a Carbon blast and long pipe cleaners. Something else, you may look at your exstracter spring, it is on the side of the bolt, it is held in by a pin. One thing you need to do is put your dads bolt back and get yours in your gun. It was head spaced for your gun and your dads was set for his, this can blow a gun up.

Re: This Heat is Unreal! it only got up to 105 Sat and I was looking for a coat. Was back up about 125 or above again today. they have said it has bee 132 so far this year and I do not remember the last day that we did not hit 100. Think it was sometime back in April. Well I should be home soon and don't know what I will do when it is only getting up to 70. Right now, my AC takes my box down to 70 at about 0200 and I am looking for my other banky, yep socks, sheets and 2 bankys to keep worm at 70. Look out Land of the Big Waly-Warld.

Re: reloading I have been loading 40 years now and I can not say that you save a dime. What you do is just shoot a lot more and that makes you a better shot and the loads are better and so on and so on...

Re: Prayers needed! On the way from the Box, I know just how much I lost when I lost my Grandma. Praying for you, your family and Grandma.

Re: Gun Selections I would take the CD, Kimber, Navy and Savage. I really would never walk out of a gun store with a 710 but that is just me.

Re: Do these bite??? Just be glad it was not a scorpion spider like I tryed to stomp last week. that sucker was as big as my foot with its legs pulled up but about as big as a small plate with them out and jumping. When I tryed to step on it, it jumped 2' and I went the other way, figgerd it could have the walk way and I did not need to pee after that!!!

Re: Nicest looking factory rifle I will put my $.02 in: I Loved the Rem 700 then they went south fast after 94 and now will not buy a new one. Now Win fell out and though I love them also, I can not buy a new one. Now to the one that I fell for with just the working of the bolt: the Teka T-3. I got one for my Birthday back in March but have not been home to shoot it yet and can't stand it till I can get back and set it up for hunting season this year. Sorry handgun but I am tired of all the high speed supped up toys and ready for something that says fun and easy times on it. But going that way, I would say the SR-25 is about as sweet as they come.

A son of Ohio has come home and tomorrow at 2PM SFC Dan Crabtree will be layed to rest. He is leaving a young wife and 17 month old girl. He is a member of my unit and was killed here in Iraq doing what he did best: Defending Freedom. So I am asking my family here to take a moment out of you time at 2PM EST tomorrow and think of all my Brother gave up for the Love of you. I thank you and I know he will hear you. De Oppresso Liber

Re: Deer for dinner No but it has been so long sense I have had a deer stake that I would fight him for it.

Re: Cricket .22\'s????? Hope you are not letting a small young kid shoot the 410? I made the misstake of letting my 6 year old shoot it and the recoil on it is as much as any 20 ga and with the cut eye from the hammer, I am lucky to still have a hunting buddy. I went out and got the NEF, much better and the ex few lbs help a lot. Now my 11, 8 (the 6 year old) and 6 year old sons all have the NEF and love it. BTW, I would take 50 for the one I got but only if who ever is getting it tells me they will never let a young kid shoot it.
