Does anyone know if the bucks are moving in Northern Minnesota? I will be heading up to the Cook, MN area with a friend from the twin cities this Friday for the rifle opener on Saturday. I'm hoping this week's cold snap will get the bucks on their feet searching.

Re: Speaking of the rut, how many of you.......... I try to hunt all day during the rut when I can. I have taken my biggest buck at 10:30 am after rattling during the peak of the rut. It is tough, but helps if your are seeing activity all day. -
Re: Anyone near Nevada,Missouri???? I live 20 miles West of Nevada in Ft. Scott, KS. You couldn't have picked a better time to come, the rut should be kicking in heavy. Are you still coming to the Parsons/St. Paul KS area? If so, what dates do you have scheduled?

Re: neosho river bottom? I hunt unit 11 in Neosho county along the Neosho River. It holds several good bucks. There are a lot of bean and corn fields scattered with sections of timber.

Re: Im hunting SE Kansas this yr., what can i expect? The river bottom ground is excellent along the Neosho. There is a good mixture of cropland with scattered timber. Where/with who do you guys hunt? Our ground is a few miles straight south of St. Paul, KS.

This is my wife's first turkey. I thought this would be a good one for my first post. She was so excited, but probably not as much as I was. 10-1/4" beard, 1" spurs, 21 lbs.
