WOO HOO!...I just booked my flight to San Antonio. I will be gone for 1 whole week! Jan 28th -Feb 4th. I love my wife... I am getting out of this frigid weather and getting a break from the boredom that has gotten a hold of me these last 4 months home unemployed. My buddy has small ranch in Harper, outside Kerrville. It is his country house, he lives in Houston. I have some electrical work to do for him, but the are also Axis deer and hogs that will need shooting ...I'm sure:D. My son Joe and I hunted his lease in Iraan(West Texas) last March for Rios, unsucessfully I might add:(. All we saw were hens, no gobblers. It was a 40,000 acre live ranch, with cattle, sheep and scorpions all over:eek: We learned that, every plant in that desert will cut you , prick you and make you bleed:p. We found some great whitetail and muley sheds, and the best finds were old indian arrow heads:). My plan good Lord willing, is to retire down there in 11 years. I will be looking at property also. Just looking. I am so happy right now, you could tell me Obama is the president and it would not bother me in the least:D If I had a too too, I'd be wearing it and dancing doing piroettes OH I am soo psyched!

The 3 dog night comment was in reference to... If you are as old as I am, you'd remember the band, 3 dog night. Which got its name being from Alaska, and some nights were soo cold that it took 3 dogs to sleep with you to keep you warm. It was soo cold, it was a 3 dog night:D. Glad thats all it was buddy. I have installed 110v smoke detectors so the battery issue is non existent here. If you have a light fixture nearby it is a easy install. Most power is brought to the ceiling box and then the line side is broke by the switch. So a constant source of power should be present.The hardest part is cutting in the box to mount the smoke head. Something to consider. But good advice non the less. They sell smoke in a aerosol can to test the heads. It can be purchased in Electrical supply houses. I think smoke heads have some radioactive material in them for long operation. I could be wrong on that though.

I find NO humor in Sept 11th. I knew 3 people who perished that day in the World Trade center:(. A old neighbor/fellow electrician, Steve Strauss, a P.A.cop, Paul Talty and new apprentice who just got started in our industry, James Cartier. I might have to skip that episode. Maybe its me, but if you lived in NYC or surrounding areas and were around that day, you'd find no humor in it either. This area was devastated for quite some time. Strange...I would've thought the service tech moved that switch to manual to get the blower to come on and the cycle to begin and forgot to move it back. I move that switch myself on my furnace when I have the wood stove going in our house upstate, just so the fan does not shut off and the heat from the stove circulates around the house through the ducts and I don't use any oil. In the summer I use it to move the air around the house to cool it, by moving the same switch. It is a forced hot air system. That is why I thought that what it was. That "silver box" is also where the limits are set for the amount of time the fan stays on. I'm trying Chris...

Chris...Is there a silver box on the inside of the heat unit, close to the fan, with a white plastic rod on it? That button has 2 positions...manual and auto. Change it from the position it is in. Either push it in or pull it out. That should fix your problem;)

Does anyone watch the show called Family Guy? I cannot remember any TV show that makes me laugh out loud, the way that show does. It is adult themed and absolutely hilarious. Stewie is my favorite. His head is shaped like a football because he wouldn't listen to his mother and stop jumping on the bed. He hit his head on the ceiling and it stayed that way. If you get a chance to watch it...watch it Funnny.

Yes William, the BARS are still made by FN Herstal Belguim. While the other Brownings( A bolt,BLR,Medallion) are made by Miroku Firearms of Japan. Miroku also makes SKB shotguns which also are noted for their exquisite craftsmanship as are the Brownings. When I was growing up, made in Japan meant junk. Now Japan is high quality compared to Chinese.

I think ALL BAR's are made in Belgium. The older ones were made there and assembled there. The newer ones I think are made in Belgium and assembled in Portugal. A quality, quality made rifle...Did I say quality? Good Luck with it.
