    Going to see......

You lucky dog! I'd love to see Brad Paisley and Dirks Bentley. I love their music. Don't know who the other one is and I watch CMT often. Crystal Shawanda? Isn't that Obama's press secretary?

    Got Crows???

I love shooting them critters. I wonder how many would go down with one shotshell in a flock like that? They are crafty no doubt, but nothing a shell of #6's can't cure:) The last pic looks like they were spooked by a PURE PREDATOR, a Redtail Hawk.
  8. Some more insight fro DA MASTER;) I was told it was a whitetail shed, but I would be more inclined to listen to you Tink. You know those Hill country animals like no one else. Folks...it might be a Axis or a Sika deer owning that spike horn. Both of which are free ranging all over Kerrville.

Awe Tink...Natcho is a cute little dog. Congrats on owning him. He is nowhere near as active as Meg the Rocket Dog:D, but a cuddly little lap dog and a friend for Meg. Thank you again Tink for having us, and I appreciate the offer to bring my son down;)
  10. Yeah Mike he is a decent salesman..., but can he sell a freezer to a Eskimo?

How do you like them apples?
  12. Have a great Time Lewis. Bring a light stick for "Beth":D Gene Simmons is bigger now than he ever was. He does it all for the fans:p
  13. Ruth, you know whats weird about Axis I have found out? They shed depending on when they were born. Not typically like whitetail at the same time of the year when the hormone level and nutrition is reduced. You can see full grown Axis standing next to the same age Axis , one in hard horn and the other in velvet. Finding Axis sheds is a year round occurance. That'll keep ya busy:)
  14. Them little piggies went to the table and the other little piggies went we we we all the way home. Pork...its whats for dinner.
  15. I love skulls myself;) Nice bear! How many square ft did the hide measure out to? Bow or gun kill?
  16. You may have seen this in the Lounge from my Texas trip. I was in Harper Texas last week and while walking my friends property, I came across this Axis deer shed. He has free ranging Axis come and go and this was a cool find. I heard that the split brow is unique on Axis. It was bit chewed from the squirrels getting at it. As it lay. I did not find this shed, it was found by a neighbor in Texas who in turn gave it to me. The weirdest spike horn shed I have ever seen. Look at the base, how big it is compared to the main beam itself. I love all the nubbly stuff on it. The other stuff is Flint that was carved by native Indians that was discarded due to mistakes or whatever. Most of these flint pieces are off to a forum member here who asked... and he shall receive;).
  17. My hunts are my piece of mind. Either successful or not the whole mental aspect of being away from home, and more recently with my sons, whom 2 are deer hunting age. I count success if the field a bit different than a harvest. I have been taking the vid cam out more often than usual and I get to see the hard work put into the food plots I've planted, and the love I have shown to my apple trees. I have not taken a gun buck on our property in 8 years, and I am completely content with that. The amount of deer I have seen/filmed is satisfying. Don't get me wrong, I would like to shoot a gun buck, but my directives have changed now that my boys are in the game. My son Joe brings tears to my eyes when I see him in action in the woods. He has taken to the outdoors like a fish to water. If you know him, you know what I mean. My son AJ passed on many does this season looking for horns. I had a doe tag for him too and he showed dicipline. My youngest son Mike is always starry eyed when we get home and tell our deer stories, which he will be apart of soon. Seeing my kids in action watching them be sucessful has become my thing. I always tell my boys...aren't you glad I didn't take up knitting?
  18. Many hands make light work. The club is looking better and better.

    My Texas trip

I am feeling that post Texas depression:(. Back to gazing out my son Joe's bedroom window with my Nikons, dreaming of when I will be back. I want to take my sons with me next time. To show them where I will be retiring to:). Then they could work on their Mom to come on down. I need to get my wife off concrete and on to coliche:D. Thanks all for the replies. I wish my blue state here was as patriotic as Texans are. True Americans down there with the hearts to back it up.
  22. Welcome to the forums Lou:) My buddy Chad who was in the sandbox a few months ago took up Bowtech on that offer and he received a New Bowtech General all set up for the $500 Tink has mentioned. Bowtech truly supports OUR troops. Thank you for your service.
  23. Be strong for him Matt and don't ever stop feeling what you feel. It is those feelings that make us love and care. I will pray for Dad and you.
  24. You know what?... It really doesn't matter what all of us think on this subject with each other. What matters is your local assemblyman's opinion of the issue, when they have to vote on the States Conservation board and create policy for the hunters of that state. We can discuss/argue/point/counter point all day until we are blue in the face. All we are doing is running up our post count:D. My assemblyman knows exactly how I feel on the issue. He sits on the NYS Conservation Board. I am confidant that all of the PRO crossgun people here, have done their share of contacting their politicians, and letting their voices be heard on this matter; or any matter that they feel so strongly over. Lets agree to disagree;)
