I must confess...here at Realtree we seem to have handled this topic quite civil if I might add. I was on another forum where name calling and questioning others skill was the norm. I am no longer a contributor of that forum. I never thought I would welcome moderation, but there you go. Regardless of where one stands on the crossgun issue( yeah I had to go there:p), we have handled this discussion quite civil. Congrats to all involved, even the pot stirrers:D.

I would love to be a part of any forum hunt anywhere and I think in the $2000-2500 range would not be outrageous, although I would think quality whitetail hunts cost much more. Non residents almost always get fleeced for tags of native species, so that could be a major percentage of cost to consider. But...it is almost 5 months now that I am out of work. I took my peace of mind trip to Texas a few weeks ago, so it would be a hard sell with my wife to be off and about, spending that kind of dough. I guess I will have to read about it after it happens:(.

I have been in contact with the NRA-ILA regarding HR45. This is a response I got from them a few days ago on HR45. Thanks for contacting NRA-ILA. HR 45, although a registration scheme, does not pose an immediate threat. Many bills are introduced with full knowledge that they will not go anywhere. If the anti-gunners in the U.S. Congress begin pushing for this bill, we will use all of our power and influence to prevent its passage. As of now it has only a sponsor, without any co-sponsors. Hmmm...I think schools should stick to testing kids for information taught, and it should be up to the PARENTS to test their kids if suspicion arises of using drugs. Which could be at the request of the school if the child is caught doing something they should'nt be doing. Hey, with heath care costs soaring, I think it will be just a matter of time before insurance companies do not cover someone for an illness due to drug usage. My health insurance won't pay for ANY injuries incurred from a DWI or any injuries from a criminal act for that matter. I do think ALL on public assistance should pass drug tests before money is given to help. I don't mind helping, but not helping the local drug dealer earn.

Yeah that does bite. I do most of my shopping online also, but for big items(boots, bows and ammo) I always go to a pro shop. Money is tight for most, and many buy arrows, sights and broadheads on line. I guess this is the future, only the big boys can stay in business...sad.
