I have finally decided to go the mechanical head route and decided to go with the Snypers...I have always been a fixed blade guy but figured I'd give a mechanical a try this year...anyway my question is this...does anyone know a good way to get the rubber bands back on these heads without running the chance of cutting yourself? May be a dumb question but I'm just not sure how to get them on easily.
Last year I used the Striker heads and really liked tham...they are absoultely the sharpest things out of the box I have seen...be careful with them lol
I am thinking of picking one of these up...anyone have experience with this bow? I know they are suppose to be super fast which if not the top thing at all on my list but I will admit is a nice plus since I only draw 26.5 inches. Are they quiet and forgiving...etc? Any info will be greatly appreciated.
I used strikers for the first time last year...had complete pass through on a big buck and two does ranging from 17 to 36 yards...scary sharp and great blood trails.
A 5 inch swimbait in some kind of Shad pattern will do it for me. A spinnerbait I made at my buddies shop would be a very close second...it is my own design, color, and blade combo...I love it :-)
It's not that loud I was just curious if it would make it that much of a difference...and I would never take bak a bow that didn't cost me a dime lol ;-) it shoots good with good speed but is just a little louder than I am used to shooting with my Bowtech which will still be my main hunting bow so I was just thining about experimenting with this one a bit.
Way overpriced and does not really work...for me at least...some other guys may tell you different but the deer on my land didn't seem to care much about it.
Hey has anyone on here ever tried putting on more than one set of limb savers? The reason I ask is a buddy just got a new bow for me from his shop that I intend to keep around as a back up bow of sorts. The bow is a brand new Darton AS50. I am outfitting it all right now and am about to get the cable guard damper and was thinking about picking up another set of limb savers at the same time...do you think it would be worth it to try more than one set? Also would putting some silencers in the cables help at all? What would the pro and cons be of both things? I am used to shooting my Bowtech and just want to make sure this new one is going be as quiet as possible. Thanks a lot guys.
Never have but have considered camping out in a ground blind...tree stand I think would just make you feel like crap the next morning and not to mention be dangerous.
