  1. Awesome! I love to flyfish but I can't imagine THAT on the end of a 5X tippet!!!
  2. The pics didn't come through (at least on my computer) but sounds like you had a great time. Spending time outdoors with your children is a very special time to cherish. Tell her congrats on a great job!

    Fish Pics!

In between deer season I love to flyfish. One of my favorite rivers is the lowere Savage River in Western Maryland. Naturally reproducing browns and brook trout in a scenic river is a great place to go! The Savage is the tailwaters from the Savage River Dam. Nothing like the tug, the splash and the bend of a flyrod when the fish wants to fight! I love it!! Here are some pics... photobuket.com
  5. I just took a black felt tip marker and covered it up and it works fine, no more glare. Suppose you shouldn't have to do that but I did.
  6. Awesome pictures! I didn't know so much was going on there. Thanks for sharing and keep us updated!
  7. Sounds a little strange. I will step in the stuff sometimes to use as a natural cover scent on the bottom of my boots but that is about as far as I'll go on that.
  8. Congratulations! Nice recovery. Don't be too hard on yourself, sometimes those things happen but the good thing is that you found him! Nice looking deer!

    Catfish bait

Nice fish! Congrats! I'm not a catfish fisherman so I can't help you there but my son-in-law and daughter are and I'll give them these suggestions for bait!
  10. T-shirt to read "Organ Donor".
  11. Congratulations! Way to go! Can't believe I graduated in 1971! Where does the time go?
  12. My first climbing stand was I think an HMK? Is that correct? Wooden platform and seat with metal straps with push buttons to adjust and rubber to hold it to the tree on the base. Yes, they have come a long way! I'd say you have a collector's item there, at least in our world.
  13. Good thing it happened now. Worse case scenario would be the storm weakened it, you get up in it and then it falls! God was watching out for you! Some things we need to see as blessings in disguise!

    Movies

I saw Pirates last night and I thought it was good. More of a plot than the previous I thought. I'd give it a 4 out of 5 and would recommend it to any Johnny Depp or 'Pirates' fans.
  15. At least you know where it went (dead) instead of running off only to be found again on top of your head or just where you go to reach for a tool or something!
  16. I don't think we remember enough what sacrifices our armed service members have made for us. I have read a number of books on major battles from WWII from Korea to the Torpedo Bombers, the Destroyer Escorts etc. and the sacrifices these men have made were chilling. These were true accounts of these battles. I am awed at the bravery of these soldiers under fire. And let's not forget Vietnam and "We Were Soldiers" and that famous battle. You cannot read these and not be moved by the men and women have have given so much for our freedom. I personally want to thank each and every one of you!
  17. Putting any up for sale to RT members?
  18. Got 9 right. Good thing turkey season is over so I can find out more of what's going on outside of the forest!
  19. We had severe thunder and lightiening storms yesterday and it hailed three times! They had three different tornado warnings but none touched down here. Pretty wild afternoon yesterday!
  20. It's hard to imagine what it would be like to lose everything, not to mention the loss of loved ones and friends. We read so much of it we might get calloused but these are real people not just numbers in a newscast! Where do you begin to start over? We do need to pray for them.
  21. Just read on the internet that the new date is October 21st. Camping said his date was off by 5 months. When will he give up? I think his credibility is shot, not that he had any on this.
  22. Well said, MathewsXT Man!!
  23. I shoot around 12-18 a day when I shoot. I try to keep in mind that I wont have time to warm up on the stand but I shoot to get correct form down and get consistent. I try to leave on a high confidence level.
