Got past 11, stuck on 12 now!

Here in Maryland feltsole waders have been banned. I just bought a pair of Emerger stockingfoot waders from LL Bean for $95.00 with a lifetime guarantee for workmanship. I tried them and they feel comfortable, much more than the boot/wader combo.

Tomorrow we leave on our annual mission trip to El Salvador. We're going to a town called Guadelupe to build a parsonage for a pastor that just got married. We'll also be extending his church as well as doing a vacation Bible school for the children of that community. It's always an adventure and humbling to see God use us to touch others for Him. Your prayers would be appreciated!

I'm doing the same thing...put out a trace mineral block, camera is out, shooting out back, cleaning and checking equipment. Flyfishing and family will help keep me occupied until September.

Yes, if I was called out in public, I would want a chance to tell my version of the story and probably would.( especially If the facts weren't correct and often are not) Others might not care and simply say it's none of anyone's business. Some people are like that, not saying the Fitzgerald's are. I'm curious to see what happened but I won't lose any sleep if I don't find out.

Frankly, this whole issue is between the Fitzgerald's and the church. They would certainly owe an explanation to them but not to us. We weren't the ones that entered into a contract with them. Yes, we are very interested in what happened but two questions need to be asked, are we interested because something like this harms the image of our industry and sport or we just waiting for a chance to bash someone and then say, I knew they weren't any good! Listening to rumors or something else that was posted somwhere else only leads to speculation, rumors and slander. Seems like sometimes we are sitting on a ledge like a vulture just waiting for one of our own to stumble. Just my opinion.

Don't know how regular people like us can buy those things with prices the way they are. How can auto/truck manufacturers stay in business? (Oh yeah, bailout money!) THe economy stinks and yet they charge unreal prices. I guess I just don't understand? The housing market is the same way. ???

Maryland opened it up this year to all hunters. I wouldn't mind trying it just for a different challenge.

I'm the same. The older I get the left shoulder has some bursitis in it and can be extremely painful on short notice. Might need a crossbow as well. Maryland opened up the crossbow to everyone for archery. One favor to ask, let's not bash our fellow hunters because of anyone's personal opinion about crossbows. I rarely post on another forum because that's what a lot of them like to do, bash other people because they don't agree with something. It's okay to disagree but your opinion is valid to you, not necessarily all of us. It's okay to express an opinion but don't smash others because your opinion is different. Please?

Never! lol That is a fly-fishing only, catch & release area. It's actually a trophy management area where browns have to be 18" long to keep and brook trout 12". I have never caught one that long! The DNR does not do any stocking either, it's all naturally reproducing browns and brooks. An occasional rainbow will sneak in when they let the water out of the dam but geneally it's only browns and brooks. It's really a great place to fish!

Sorry to hear about the theft. That really stinks! Hope you can find out who did it and get it back. It wasn't another hunter that took it, it was just a thug and petty thief possibly dressed in camo.

These are pics from where we normally do our flyfishing, Usually quite wadeable for the most part. It is the lower Savage River in Western Maryland and it is the tailwater from the dam located upstream. There is a reservoir above the dam that when all the tributaries fill up the reservoir they open two large tunnels and let the water out. When we have the kind of rain that we had last week, these pics are the result. Good fishing is around 85 cubic feet per second, this water was a 2,890 feet per second. Wading is not recommended on this day!
