    Not Happy!!!

sorry to hear that tim. bet if they had to pay for there mistakes like we do, they would make sure it was delivered to the right house and in a safe place.. like the back door.
  3. nice pic's, looks like your staying in shape with them hills.
  4. yes a great story for sure.
  5. for what seemed like week after week of sun and heat, mostly in the 100's we finley get get a break, these guy's came rolling in around 7.tonight ]IMG]http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p139/sskybnd/Picture006.jpg[/img] it took us from 102 down to 78, what a difference 24 degress makes, and theres more rain to come, well atleast we wont see the 100 degree mark for a week http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/71854?from=36hr_topnav_undeclared
  6. i hear you, think ive lost 10 lbs so far from sweating
  7. ive never seen the before either. but the way they are made seems like if you could match them up with the vanes they would fly true.
  8. Randy i can relate to what your saying here, the last deer i shot with my rem 270 was running up a draw chasing a doe, he never heard the shot and rolled head over heels, at that monemt i lost the desire to hunt any more couse i felt like i was just killing and the deer never had a chance, and that was over 10 years ago if not longer, i will use my muzzle loader a time or 2 during the year, but have found that i'l still shoot them with in 30 to 40 yards, so i have found that my challange is with my bow hunting i dont need to use a gun to harvest a deer, and i feel im giving the deer the best chance to give me my run for the money.
  9. 1) If you get a pic of a mature buck how long do you expect he'll be around that spot? i expexct him to be in the area till the rut kick's in, 3) Some hunting shows give the impression with their "hit list" that they get pics of the vast majority of the mature bucks in their area. What percentage of the mature bucks to you think you get on your hunting area? id say 10% than will get the other's that are trolling for does .4) How far apart between sets have you caught the same buck on a trail cam? cant answer that, we only have 90 acres to set camreas on. 5) Do you scout more or less as a result of using trail cams? id say we scout more, if were not getting the pics we move the cam around, id say being deer are a creacher of habit i feel most deer will stay in there core zone unless pressured to much and have to leave, or the rut comes in, to me the cam is just telling me what trails they are using to get around,
  10. same here. had to say i forgot my pass word and got another to get in

well its nice to see its just not me this time.:bang:
  12. i feel the same, any sharp head in the right place will do the trick, and ive also shot many over the years from thunder heads to wasp's and even used the rage year before last, not knocking them for those who use them ive just had bad luck with them from the blades breaking off to haveing one break off at the end of the arrow, i too am a strong beleaver in the muzzy's and wont ever change again. a very dependable head.
  13. i feel the same way, but i feel we are years from that ever happening, lets look at it from a deers point of view[not that im a deer or anything] you are an outsider in my home, i know every branch and tree in my home, 40 years ago your average stand was 6ft tall, i got used to looking up for danger, you moved higher i still look up, my eyes are set back to where i have 300 degrees of vision and can detect the slightest movement thats not natural, my sence of smell is 1000 times better than yours if not better, i have 2 ears that rotate 180 degrees and know every sound in my home, turkeys, squrrells, birds and can detect the slightest sound thats out of place. and your going to try to get with in 20 yards of me to shot me with an arrow.... some might not call it a sport and, some might call it a challange, but either way, we as hunters are hunting a wild animal thats sences are superior to ours, so i feel using camo, scent elimenators, and such, just helps us level the playing field a little, i dont feel we will ever get to the point that we will be invisable to the whitetail..
  14. mine either, 40 yards from my front porch would be a wee bit to close for me, maybe he was sizing up the dog for a later meal.

  16. i love the rut too, 2009 rut was the worst i have seen in years, never seen any chasing, couldnt get any to come to the bleat or the tinks, i guess when the doe to buck ratio is out of wack thats happens.
  17. well i have no idea what to do, the coons are eating my deer feeder empty in a week, is it possable that to many coons can run off the deer. i had 119 pics in a week nothing but coons, no deer at all, thinking about changing the memu, any one know if coons will eat rice brain? heres 1 pic of what im dealing with.
  18. id say about 18 to 20 inches from tip to tip, thats my guess
  19. each leave is on a piece of wire and you move them to where you can make a shooting lane, being i stand up to shoot all i need is a little opening in a few place's to shoot threw

  23. i hunt the rub lines early bow season and have good success at it, i'l hunt the scarpes during the pre rut, if i can't find a scrape near my stand i'l make a mock one, during the rut i'l just put out some tinks in hope of attracting a trolling buck
  24. , looks like he's running with a good 8
