im still out there havent forgot about the team, havent had much time to hunt this year, not as much as last year, but did take part in the killing of a spike last weekend, well i shot it at 26 yards in the shoulder made a clean pass threw, but it didnt fall fast enough before it ran in front of my sisters blind, who than shot it with her 243. and being she was the last to shoot it i made her tag it, so i still have 2 buck tags left, same morning i took a 136 lb boar hog, have had some close inconters in my blind but its realy hard to draw when the deer are only feet away looking right at you, got cought twice this weekend, 1 i couldnt hold my bow up as long as she wanted to look at me and had to lower it, getting me busted, 2nd was using a pee bottle and when i lifted me head we were eye to eye dont know who was more shocked. but i have plenty of time left in the season and have got my sights on 2 real good 8 points.

this morning i had an unbeleavable event, as i was about to go to my stand i sprayed down, than i applied this product called ever calm by border crossing scents to my leggs and boots, as i was setting in the stand i had a ton of squerrils playing around, than i heard something to big to be a squerrill next to the stand, i have a unaversal tree stand blind around my stand, it has 3 windows but i keep the left side closed becouse of being busted before from deer walking from that side, well i hear it so close that i look between the blind and the stand, about a 3 inch gap and there stands a wide 8 point, all i can do is watch him as he walks off to the left and i stick my head out of the front of the blind and watch him walk off like nothings amiss, as i left the stand i seen where he had walked the same path to my stand as i had, was it a fluke or could this product be that good, any one else ever use it.

ant that the way it goes some times, had you been sneaking like you were hunting she would have blew out of there faster than snot threw feathers, you must not have possed a threat to her, sorry about the arrow, i know i would be ticked if i lost one being it would cost me about $20.00,

well so far im have a tuff season, only seen 5 deer so far in the stand, and a ton along side the road on the way home, to day i thought i would use my crossbow i bought from my sister, i shot field pionts out of it and shot pretty good, had a doe at 26 yards, it has a 3 dot scope on it so i put the 20 yard dot on its back and the 30 hit the lower portion on the deer, and let it fly the deer jump one time and looked around as to say what was that couldnt beleave i missed her, went and shot it to see what was the deal, with the broad heads i was shooting about 2 ft high and about a 1 and 1/2 ft to the left, well after ruining to bolts, i retired it, i think i'l stick with my mathews, if i would have had it. i would have had a doe for sure, seasons still young and plenty of time, maybe when it cools down a bit things will get better.

i have the hog, works great on places where you can only get a 4 wheeler, does a great job tilling the ground.

well our season opened friday, took off fri and monday, was hot the first three days didnt see any thing, on monday was a lot cooler, had a deer coming down a hill never seen what it was till i seen where it was going to pop out at, came to full draw when it pop out into the opening, settled the pin on the kill zone , and than noticed it was a spike with 4 to 5 in horns, in ark spikes have to be 2 inches or less to be able to shoot, so i had to let the bow off from full draw.tuff to to say the least, but i did it with spooking him, he walked 31 more yards and fanished into the thicked, to me that was a great hunt, had him dead to rights .. if only he would have been a shooter or a doe.

well the months have past and the days been slow but the time has come , 10 more hours and our season starts, have 4 places that have stands hung, lots of buck rubs around looks real good,

nice mulie, tony, he will look good next to your lope

i would have to agree with texan, your there to decrease the population, and we as hunters know thats our nexts year crop of deer, and we wouldnt take a fawn, but when your there to decrease the population any deer taken will do the job at hand, one thing about deer they are a renewable resorce, so i, under the job your there to do i wouldnt feel bad about taking a fawn.

this new lease is realy starting to be a pain in the rear, we have been invaded by hogs, so with redncks advice i build a hog trap well i build a trouf type feeder thinking the hogs cant get into it and set it out and fill her with corn, we go this weekend and i seen i have 165 pics and see that they have been eating the corn, i go back to the truck and look at the disc, and though you have to be kidding me from what i seen, can honestly say this a first for me. this is just one pic i have over a 100, of ones that look just like that,

thanks, was trying to figure what happened.

i have a sheild but havent figured how to drop it and keep the ark going at the same time or i find if i lowere it my weld starts going ever where
-
im pretty dumb some times, well im trying to get a hog trap done, not a welder by no means, but i have one and pettle with it, i made about 9 welds yesterday but realy can't seem to get the sheild down to see what im welding so i just basicley turn my head some so im not looking directly at the ark, well i knew i had burned my eyes, but ive done it before, but not this bad, well to make matters worse i went to our new lease with a guy named andy and his nephew, im on the back of andys 4 wheeler and his nephew cuts in front of us and starts to fishtail on the dirt road thowing sand and dust back our way, as i look around i catch a face full of sand and such, i feel it hit my eyes and know i just got hit in the eye i go home and wash my face and being my eyes arleady hurt, hard to tell if i got it out or not, so i go to bed, about 1;45 this morning i want to rip my eye out, i feel it being cut along the top of the eye lid, i wake my girlfriend up and tell her to take me to the hospital, she replies you just burned them and rolls over, i have to get demanding that there is something in there, well off we go, they see my eyes and ask me what i was doing i tell them attempting to weld, they already assume there burned and go's to leave it at that, i have to tell them over and over theres some thing in it, they finley put some drops in the eye take me to a room and turn my eye lid in side out and fine a fine piece of gravel inbeded between the eye lid and i guess the eye ball, they remove it, and tell me the cornea is ok, well now i have a patch over one eye and am so light sensative that the other wants to sqwent, they say it will be a few days till they are not so light sensative, if you have some compassionate for a stupid person say a small pray for me to be good to drive by tuseday.
-
great looking buck for sure, but like they say there no such thing as a dumb old deer, hope you get to tag him this year, i bet he's going to make you work for him.
