Re: shot a deer Dont feel bad I shot a doe day b4 yesterday and she tried to duck my arrow I hit her really high about 4 inces or so below the spine I didnt know if it would kill her or not so i waited an hour b4 i got down to check and i couldnt even find any blood i was huntin this little woods and i walked from where i shot her and went the way she ran and i never even found any blood i searched that whole woods until it got dark and went back the next mornin about 30 minutes after daylight and searched that little woods and the woods thats on the other side of it and the fields for 4 hours b4 i finally gave up and i still hate that i couldnt find her it was the first deer i ever lost so i kno how ya feel and IT SUCKS David

Re: how many tags you get for hunting Here in IL we get two tags 1 antlerless and 1 either sex but after you can buy more tags and kill as many does as u want to

Re: Whisker Biscuit This was my first post on here and you guys have been really helpful in my decision. All of your replys have been really positive on this product and when i take my bow in next week to get some stuff put on it i will definately be switchin to a whisker biscuit TY every1 live life hunt hard David IL

Re: favorite/most memorable My first deer would have to be my favorite and most memorable hunt. I was with my grandpa and my cousin huntin with a rifle in KY i shot a big ten point with a 21 in. inside spread at about 250 yards across a field with a 270. we were set up on the ground in the corner of the field he was a brute . I was 8 years old and ive been deer huntin every since. that 10 point was the biggest deer i ever killed until last year I killed another 10 point bigger an him

Re: how far wiill a slug kill a deer? I dont know anything about the sight. But i sight my gun in at 100 yds. I have killed a doe at 150 with a 12 ga. and i use 2 3/4 in rifled slugs. I aimed almost at the top of her back and when i shot she hit the ground but it was the last day of season and i had a doe tag left thats the only reason i even tried that shot. 100 yds good safe distance should be real accurate.

Re: Muzzy Moments? I shot my first deer last year with a bow. A nice mature doe, and i was hunting on the ground so it was even more heart racing i had 4 deer around me when i shot her. I was using muzzy 3 blade 125 grain. When I shot her my arrow went all the way through. She only ran about 15 yards and fell , that muzzy really did a job on her. Im gonna be using them again this year also. live life hunt hard David IL

I was thinking about getting a whisker biscuit rest put on my bow. Then after lookin at it, it looked to me like it would tear my fletching off my arrow. Does anyone have a whisker biscuit on their bow? And how good does it work? David IL
