Re: Cull buck-maybe? The number one most important factor in for big deer is age. Sometimes bucks need till their 3-4 yrs old to show their stuff. This deer looks young and needs a chance to show his.

Here are some trail cam pics from september. I have a bunch more to post. I haven't posted since season started b/c I have spent every waking minute working or in a tree. Nothing to big in these pics but some nice young deer. My buddy killed the 9pt in the 2nd and 3rd from last pictures with a bow. I will post a bunch more pics soon. (BIGGER BUCKS)

Here are pictures of my rifle kill and my two buddies rifle kills. I thought my chance had past when the 12pt in the bottom picture got away w/o a shot but I stuck with it and got lucky. I shot this buck at 10 yards, he was walking a big ridge headed back to bed at 8:15. This was only the second time I had hunted this farm (the first was sunday) and I really had no clue what kind of bucks were around. But Sunday I noticed several big rubs on this ridge so it gave me confidence that there was a nice deer around. I have tons of trail camera pictures that I haven't posted b/c I have been working and hunting so hard since Sept. 15. I will try to post them soon.

Re: Pros and cons... Stealth Cam 2.0 STC-WD2 takes SD cards. They are great cameras with lots of features and a great trigger. Also have great battery life. Comparable to Cuddeback. However the pictures have flash washout. Overall they are a great buy. You can get them for 140 w/out Viewer or $175 w/Viewer on Ebay Brand New. I bought 2 of them off of there.

Re: What about this Buck??? He probably had an injury on right side of his body in the past and it messed up the left side of his rack. The next year after an injury the opposite side can be strange but usually over time they return to more normal configuration, but don't match opposite side. I've seen this on a couple of bucks. Thats my opinion. Either way, he'd be a nice bow kill.

Re: Cuddeback Excite I have one and it is a pretty good camera. Has fast trigger which I think is the only advantage to buying a Cuddeback. Picture quality is adequate. I don't know if I would recommend it over a Stealth Cam STC-WD3 however because they are 3.0 megapixel and are much more user friendly and have more features all at about the same price.
